|You should probably start your day with Xcelerator, the big launched coaster, followed by Monetzooma's Revenge (an intense, classic shuttle loop) and Jaguar (a not-so-classic family coaster with nice theming). Then take a ride on Sierra Sidewinder on your way to Silver Bullet, the park's inverted coaster, followed by Ghostrider (the woodie) and Pony Express. |
Voyage to the Iron Reef brings a high quality dark ride back to Knott's. The other not-to-be-missed attractions are the Timber Mountain Log Ride (probably KBF's best attraction) and the Calico Mine Ride. Railroad buffs will enjoy a ride on the Calico Railroad, complete with train robbers.
|Fried chicken, biscuits, and boysenberry jam are the stars here. Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant in the Marketplace outside the park's main gate has been an institution for years--some locals love it, others complain that it "isn't what it used to be." It also draws good-sized crowds during the summer tourist season (there's a take-out location, as well). |
Pink's, a famous Los Angeles hot dog joint, has a stand in the Marketplace also.
You'll find Johnny Rocket's, Panda Express, and the Spurs Chop House (steaks) inside the park. The Chow House serves chili and potato cream soup in a large sourdough bowl. Many people love Knott's boysenberry soda, too.
If none of these options sound appealing, there's always TGI Friday's, right across from the park's ticket booths.
