JimmyBo
So it was my buddy's birthday on Thursday and he wanted to get the crap scared out of him so I took him to Knott's. We decided to go during the day and ride all the rides and then hit up the Haunt at night. All I have to say is thank god there was a TGI Friday's near by...I'll let the photos explain the trip Please wait to comment till all photos are uploaded...Thanks! There Bob goes again...taking pictures of nature. Seriously...WTF Oh my god! The ride ate their bodies and only their legs are left! Well, actually it's RipTide time...and we were the only three on the ride cuz Bob was too chicken to do it You know what time it is? It's nature picture taking time Gotta love that first drop of extreme woody goodness Bob likes wood For those of you that don't know...GhostRider is a woody Going up zeee lift hill with a full plate of SUN in my face So we head back to Knott's and hit up GhostRider This is our waitress Catrina and the birthday boy...Catrina rocks and hooked us up and had some drinks with us (hopefully her boss doesn't read this site) We decided to take a break from Knott's and head over to TGI Friday's for some "birthday drinks" We enjoyed Silver Bullet so much we decided to show it some love...Our stains might still be there So here's the "forceless" part of Silver Bullet...*cough* NOT *cough* My turn to yell randomness while going through what Knott's employees call, the "half inversion"...WTF Bob still yelling random stuff going through the loop Here's the freaks...Bob is yelling random stuff in the front, Lou is angry cave man, and Ryan is like "Yay it's my birthday!" Vertical Loop goodness...YAY! Next up, Silver Bullet...forceless my @$$ But then Lou and Bob ruined his wish as they got in the car with him Ryan got a birthday wish...it was unlocked So then joking around we decided to see if one of the cars was unlocked... Ryan likes touching hot rods Gay Pride Car...Helloooooo Time to look at hot, sexy cars...oolala Or assume fetal position, grab the front of the car, and point at random flying objects works too Smile for the camera! YAY! People are having fun...WEEEEEE! Oh Xcelerator...you look so hot right now First things first...head to Xcelerator and get our ride on Entrance all decked out for Haunt
JimmyBo
So since Bob chickened out on RipTide, we strapped him into the Screamin Swing and Supreme Scream...He hated us for that. But here's some more pics...enjoy So after an extremely unproductive and uneventful night at the Haunt, everyone headed home while I headed to Dougie's house Here's the gang left to right: Me, Cave man Lou, random yelling Bob, Freak-O Jessica, birthday boy Ryan "Silent K", and Ryan's sis sassy Sara We headed back to TGI Friday's for Ryan's birthday dinner...yes Derek, this is a beer so stop drooling We left Knott's and had to visit our beloved Knott's cock But we all got wet Nothing to see here...just four guys in a log...No we're not gay Did I mention we didn't ride Boomerang? Bob doing his best job at pretending to surf...Barrels!!! ...so he passed as we rode it another 5 times without having to get off To dry off we rode Supreme Scream, Bob pooped his pants the first time he rode it... And then a wave decided to come over the entire raft and soak us all Ryan screaming like a little school girl Karma was catching up with Bob for not riding RipTide...yeah, he's wet Bigfoot Rapids time...Yeah, we all got wet and here are the pics to prove it Raise your hands if you're angry cave man about to ride a giant swing Bob leaving a stain on the seat of Screamin Swing Screamin Swing time

JimmyBo
Not done yet and please wait till I'm done uploading...thanks So we didn't see any shows and only made it in 4 mazes on Thursday night I decided to go back on Saturday night with my buddy Doug (some may remember him from my credit whoring Trip Report). Saturday was sold out and extrememly packed but we still got in all of the mazes and saw all the shows...here's some pics from Doug's and my travels... While Doug decided to get in the car Ryan found unlocked 2 days earlier...still unlocked I decided to take out my anger on a whack the crap out of a poor defenseless noob game Extremely wet...I ran off the bridge after I took this picture and mowed over some little kid...but I didn't get wet! You get wet This is a water ride Doug got his reach around credit for the day Wetting myself made me hungry...so I ate Bigfoot's Meat I was so excited on Bigfoot rapids I wet myself Yeah, that's water coming into the raft Doug doing his best at being a big, fat, hairly Bigfoot beast (aka. an ACEr) Time to go get wet on Bigfoot Rapids And there you have a horseshoe. Exciting? It only took him about 2 mintues to make one ...then you create some steam from the hotness... Here's how you make a horseshoe. First you heat 'er up...then you wack it This is a lumber jack...no wait! A blacksmith, my bad Yay, the dog leg turn over the parking lot...Look! TGI Friday's to the right! Doug is excited to get his kidney smacked into a new zip code Time for GhostRider...or should I say time for a kidney punch This is a ride...I totally forget it's name...it's on the tip of my brain...Oh well, i'll call it a spinning twirling flat ride for now Hello you...nice to see you Mr. Cobra Roll Doug and the Cobra Roll of goodness in his power I guess I was feeling patriotic at the time I took this picture...or maybe thinking of the Patriot which I still need to ride So this is Silver Bullet...again...and we marathoned it 6 times in a row Fetal position and eye goggles on...great on-ride photo AGAIN! We rock at these Doug was so happy he grabbed his goods in excitement And it's open so Doug can finally get his Xcelerator credit We head to Knott's Saturday after a huge thunderstorm the night before and head straight to Xcelerator Video games, beer, hooka, definitely a guys night IN Time for beer and hooka. No, hooka is not illegal unless your under 18...it's just flavored tobacco
JimmyBo
We ate at this place for lunch that I didn't even know existed in Knott's...the Ghost Town Grill. Awesome place and I recommend it to anyone that goes to knott's. Here's some more pics...enjoy Doug started to get hungry so that means it's time to head to TGI Friday's for some grub and then come back for Haunt! Here's the stage during the day for one of the shows at night...Hopefully we'll see this one tonight! Ferris Wheel is all decked out with Spider webs and such Looks like an S&S freefall ride...oh wait...it is! Looks like an Intamin freefall ride...but it's not...just the Sky Tower A snapping turtle! All the way from Busch Gardens Tampa! Riddle me this? What animal lives at the bottom of Silver Bullet's drop? I did mention we didn't ride Boomrangizzle? Snoopy ice cream bars for the kids...but I was cool so the waitress gave me one Great food, service, and drinks...and..... Ghost Town Grill, great place to eat
JimmyBo
Finally some Haunt photos...after a boring Thursday night Saturday was much better. Even though it was sold out and soooper crowded we still hit almost everything. Haunt was very good this year and the mazes were scary as hell. Going through 13 Axe Murder Manor with your eyes shut and having someone guide you is the best experience if you want to piss your pants. Dead Idol was my first ever experience with American Idol stuff and it was awesome (mainly because the person playing Paula Abdul had a couple nip slips when she was dancing ) Enjoy the pics Last show of the night was Marty Putz...freakin hilarious. Totally go see this guy if you haven't already Silver Bullet through it's corkscrewed goodness Angry cave man Lou likes his pig (then I got yelled at for taking that picture because it was inside a maze) Xcelerator with the black sky as it's back drop...Sexy and devilish at the same time Silver Bullet at night, purty aint it? But Freak-O Jess and I kept ourselves busy by making faces at the camera You can't really tell from this picture but if you've ever been to Knott's and know where the Feary Tales and Asylum maze is, this is the line...near the entrance to GhostRider (in other words...LONG!!!) While I was looking for another maze to go to, a "talent" stole my map and then made a paper airplane out of it...pretty entertaining since it took her like 5 minutes to make an airplane Then we found the Beer Garden...yes Derek, this is beer so stop drooling now Oh yes, time for the "Hanging show". This year's show wasn't as good as last year's but it was still awesome. Jack Swallow's and Britney red neck Spears made the show This is what a tall steel object looks like at night Rachel and I saw some interesting hairdo's while waiting in line...is that a mullet? or is it a tail? WTF! Great Pirate Maze near the front of the park...the best part was the midget pirate at the end...everyone loves midgets! Hello Xcelerator at night with the Buena Park smog hovering over you At least we had entertainment with us...Doug blowing up an inflatable hammer and then running around hitting people with it...great stuff Let's back up a bit and see then crowd...Yeah, that's at 8:30 pm and there's still a line into the place! So here we are, Haunt time!

Shockwave
Sorry I jumped the gun, honest mistake! Knotts sure does get busy when the lights come on at night for Haunt, you did well getting everything done during the day. And what is with that smog?!?!? Must have been a bad night for driving! I'll be sure to let you know when I'm down in San Diego!

Real
BTW thats not a snapping turtle. IT looks like a regular painter. Do a google for snapping turtles, youll see they are quite the little (rather large) prehistoric looking beasts. I saved one from being ran over on the road and raised him up over the winter then released in summer. Wicked little things. Nice TR.
Top Thrill Dragster
^^ I think Supreme Scream tower is 310 feet, but you only drop from 256 feet up.

JimmyBo
Supreme Scream is 256 feet tall and you only drop like 5 feet because S&S towers kick that much butt. And as for the snapping turtle...thanks for the animal lesson for the day...i'll be sure to keep my sarcasm to myself next time. Non German Tom, let me know when you're here and we will cause chaos.
