November 5th, 2005

Today there was quite a few interesting things going on at the mountain.  For one, it was a Saturday and there was a LOT
of activity.  Also, the rapids area, as we had a hunch last week, was now closed due to construction.

I'm happy to report that the mountain was open and both Ninja and Superman were too.  Anyway, onto the photos!

Upon entering the park, we can start seeing some footers in the waterfall area.
This ride is certainly going to change the look of the entrance plaza for the first time in 30 years!

Take a closer look at where the footers are!  How the hell did they get in there?

Ahh, I see.  They have removed a section of Revolution's track to get to these footer locations.

Here's a close up of it. Think the train could jump the track Evil Kenevil style?

We called it last week!  It was only a matter of time before the rapids area would have to close.

Up on top of the mountain, there was a LOT of activity.

A bunch of new footers were in the process of getting installed.  This one has a 30 foot marker on it.  That's deep!

Once again Elissa plays the part of "Tatsu Support" until the actual footer gets poured!

More bulldozers doing a lot of bulling and dozing.

Here is the "Crazy Cement Arm" machine actually pouring footers!

The crazy cement arm machine can get into tricky positions and get cement down this deep holes!  Giggity!  =)

Goodbye crazy cement arm machine...see you next weekend!

It's a tractor.  Those TPR members from Wisconsin or Michigan should be familiar with these vehicles.

And, OH MY GOD!  The best part of the update!  Men, take off your pants, women, get ready for some REAL excitement....

IT'S A PILE OF DIRT!!!!  YES!!!  A HUGE FREAKING DIRT PILE!!!

Here are some random dudes doing random things.

Here you can see a footer RIGHT NEXT to the Orient Express track.

Here is an EXTREME CLOSE-UP for you really curious folk.

Looks like the old Ninja snack bar is being used as the construction office.  I wonder if these guys have to pay $8 for a soda?

I'm assuming the stuff up on the wall is the super-secret plans for the ride and all those papers are the blue prints.
Either that or they've printed out giant size versions of Elissa's Stateline boob picture!  =)

Here's Thrill Shot.  Just sitting there are lonely and stuff.

And yup, once again, there is Tweety and his/her camel toe!
(Does anyone know if Tweety is a male or female character?  If you know, please
EMAIL DAN!)
