Our "Quick Visit to Spain, Just For The Hell of it!" Trip 2006

Next up was Tarantula!  (well, technically we rode this before Tornado, but that doesn't REALLY matter, does it?)

Tarantula is one of them Maurer Söhne spinning things.

This one was actually really big!

And yes, it was themed to spiders and stuff....

...."Oh no!  Not spiders!  Why did it have to be spiders???"

"Hey, look!  Free food in the Tarantula line!  I like this ride already!"

"Yeah, I'm Tom...Non German Tom.  I'm sooooo cool.  Check me out!"

See, that?  That's a FIRST DROP!  And that drop makes you go "WHEEEEEEEEEE"  Really!  It does!!!

Tarantula in mid-spin.  Actually, this photo was staged.  We asked them to stop the car right there and spin it just
a little bit.  Looks good doesn't it?  I thought so.

By the looks of these photos you'd think the ride just goes sideways all the time.

It's got some of these horse shoe type turn things.  Fun?  Sure!

Oooh!  That's the new X-Car coaster  It sure is close to the spider ride.

"Hello, my name is Intamin drop tower.  It's a pleasure to meet you, why don't you come sit on me?  No, really...you can sit on me...it's cool!"

"Hey mom!  I'm sitting on the Intamin drop tower.  It's ok!  He told me I could."

OMG!!!!  It's another credit!!!!

But not for Elissa....you can only ride if you're under 12.  So Robb rode because, well, mentally that's about right!  =)

*sigh* This sign was all over the place.....

Splash Down boat....closed.

Shooting Dark Ride, REALLY closed!  Not even open for the season yet (as many of the rides looked like this)

Multi-layered fountain in front of the park which I'm sure is really pretty when it's on....CLOSED!
