The Ultimate TPR Tokyo DisneySea Update

Yay! Half-Naked women quota full-filled!

This old guy presents Sindbad with some glowing thing. Not sure what it might be. Perhaps an anal bead? Could be anything....

No, no, no...those for sure are the anal beads.

I'm told by KidTums that I have to include some obligatory Chandu photos because he's cute. So here's one...

Here's another...

And here is Chandu and Sindbad saying goodbye!

And if you want to know what the story is all about in English...you can request one of these "English Translations" cards.

"Chandu, we have to save the chicks!" Honestly, for a "Pirates meets Small World" kind of dark/boat ride, it's really quite good.

Since we're talking DisneySea, and we've gotten Journey out of the way, the awesomeness that is the park, let's show you all some of the "new hotness" for 2011. And that is Fantasmic! The old "BraviSEAmo!" lagoon show was retired in 2010, and here comes a "tried and true" Disney classic show "Fantasmic!" to replace it!

Now, I'll be honest, I'm not really a "show person", I do like Epcot's Illuminations, I wasn't wow'd by World of Color, and I worked at Disneyland in California when Fantasmic! first opened, and I hadn't seen the show since. I haven't even seen the Walt Disney World version. But THIS show....Well, just watch the video...

The storyline is quite simple - Mickey falls asleep, or whatever, and this is his imagination...or something. Basically, it's just a pryo and lightning fest of awesomeness!

The centerpiece of the show is this "Sorcerer Mickey" had, that also has a giant video screen on it. In the water are other mist-screens, just like in the other versions of Fantasmic!

But for the first part of the show, a lot of it happens on the Mickey hat, and with the barges that come out into the water.

Hooray! More explosions!

Here's some of boats that come out. Just like the other versions of Fantamic!, this uses lots of stuff floating around with fluffy characters dancing.

Kaa the snake was pretty bad-ass.

"Yo, beeyoch! I'm a snake!"

Stitch came out and did his laser/water/light explosion bit...

When I first saw the "Universal 360" globes, I thought "Uh, oh...." but they actually made AWESOME use of them in this show!

And you know all hell is about to break loose with the magic mirror rises out of the water! (It's an actual mirror prop with a mist screen in the middle)

And yeah, all hell breaks loose, including what is absolutely the most amazing effect in any of the Fantasmic! shows....a VOLCANO!!!
