Food
There are four sit-down restaurants in the park: Panorama (the largest restaurant with many options), Brauhaus (serving traditional German food), Capitol (American specialties, including many varieties of burgers), and Small Smutje (which promotes its burgers and fish and chips). Of course, there are plenty of quick-service stands around the park.
Operating Season
The park is open from mid-April to October
Established Seasonal events
The park hosts Halloween events during October
Access & Location
If you prefer to travel by car, simply follow the A7 and exit at "Soltau-Ost." Then follow the road signs to the pleasure park!

If you prefer to travel by rail, catch the train straight to Wolterdingen / Soltau and continue on foot: it's only 2.000 metres to Heide-Park. Or take the train straight to Soltau from Hamburg, Hanover, or Bremen.

You can catch the bus straight to Heide Park from Wolterdingen and Soltau railway stations.

It's really easy to get to the Heide-Park by bus and train. There are bus connections from Wolterdingen and Soltau stations (Prüser Buses) and direct connections from Hamburg (KVG), Lüneburg (KVG), and Hanover (Enders). You can find a map of all the routes covered by the traditional "Heide Train" on the "Heide Train" page. Please refer to the "Heide Train" website at www.heidebahn.de
Nearby Lodging
The park has three options. Abenteuer Hotel is a fabulous four-star hotel with five different types of themed rooms. Holiday Camp offers Caribbean-themed bungalows for families accomodating 2-12 people. The verdict is still out on the newly added Bulli Camp, which features accomodations for two in VW buses
Virtual Queue Options
Heide Park offers "Express Butler" an electronic Fast Pass system using Lo-Q technology at Gold and Platinum levels.
Shows
The park's longest-running shows are for children. However, the park also has a couple of fast-paced action shows for a broader audience: Gold of Port Royal (pirate themed) and Anger of Mayas (archeologist upsets the natives).
