Day 8: Bakken


During our day at Tivoli Gardens, we made a side trip to Bakken, which was about 20 minutes away by train.

Any park with an organ grinder and a stuffed monkey out front gets our seal of approval!

This was a park with yet another Scenic Railway!

This one though, had some really BIG drops!

This is what happens when you leave your stuffed animal prizes in the station!

It's a good thing they were able to make that lift hill nice and straight!  =)

At least if you hit the tree, the stuffed animal takes the brunt of the impact!

This probably was the tallest and fastest Scenic Railway I've been on!

Keep in mind there aren't any 'upstops' on the train, so the only thing holding the train on the track is the brakeman!

Ahh, yes, more guns, more ammo, and we're not even in Texas!
