TPR's Road to Cedar Point Tour 2011

The first stop on our "Road to Cedar Point" tour was Six Flags Great Adventure. We sort of felt that we needed to book-end this tour with awesome roller coaster parks...

...and Six Flags Great Adventure fills that quota nicely!

Before you do anything else...check out these two awesome 'Behind the Scenes' videos we shot of two of the parks more popular coasters...

Nitro:

Kingda Ka:

The park has a fantastic looking skyline...everywhere you look...roller coasters!

We had a BIG group today (and not just because we're fat!) Today both the North East tour and the RTCP tour converged at Great Adventure to make a "SUPER TPR AWESOME PARK DAY!"

First ERT of the day was Nitro...complete with awesome sign!

Even after more than 10 years, Nitro still kicks all sorts of ass!

"What do you guys like more? Nitro? Or no lines for Nitro?"

Next up we had ERT on Dark Knight...now some of you may ask... "Why Dark Night?"

Because they ran it for TPR with the LIGHTS ON!!! That's why! =)

I got to take a little backstage tour of Dark Knight with the lights on to check it out...

Dark Knight takes your standard "Wild Mouse" coaster and ads quite a bit of theming to it.

You can see the themed areas up on the switch backs.

And of course Batman down on ground level.

There we go! Guns blazing!

With the lights off, you don't ever see the work area or the transfer track!

Thank you Great Adventure for letting us backstage! (And thanks for the really sexy vest! It suits me.)

How did you guys like Dark Knight with the lights on?

Next up, Six Flags Great Adventure's new hotness... GREEN LANTERN!

Yup...it's green!

Except for this part...it's yellow.

If this ride looks familiar to you...
