Six Flags Great Adventure's El Toro - Intamin Wooden Coaster Construction Photos!

Thanks to our good friends Wade and Diana over at http://www.gadvupdates.com/ we are able to bring you this following construction update.
Please do us a favor and check out their site for even more photos and up to date information about this new ride!

Across the lake you can see this GIGANTIC woodie take shape.
Either that or Kingda Ka has "crane envy"   =)

Thanks to some ultra-swanky, new funk technology, you will climb that lift VERY quickly!

Kind of makes Rolling Thunder look a more midget-like.
(and I apologize in advance to the "little people" of the world if that was at all offensive.
If it wasn't for all you awesome people, the Wizard of Oz would have been a totally different movie!)

Do you think Viper's old station minds having it's Togo past coaster replaced with this Intamin woodie?  Let's find out....

Viper's old station says "OMG!  THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!!!  T*H*A*N*K  Y*O*U!!!"   =)

Ahh, after spending some time at Liseberg and Heide Park last year, these funky little footers are a very welcoming sight to see!
(now if only there were some Swedish McDonalds workers hanging around the site......hmm.....)

The pre-laminated wooden track is set into place much like a steel coaster would be.
(but this is NOT a steel coaster for all you crazy nay-sayers out there!)

El Toro will be the first "modern day" wooden coaster to feature a cable driven lift hill!

And, no that doesn't mean you get to watch your favorite HBO shows while riding, it means that little wheel guy right there
will spin really fast and take you up 188 feet quickly and smoothly.

This little dude is going to get quite a workout come this summer.  But it's ok, because you'll see him on the "Biggest Loser"
next season and see that he went from a size 26 cable to a size 14!  Way to go!!!!

"Oh, I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay....I sleep all night and I work all day...."

I might be mistaken, but I have a feeling they are going to put trains full of PEOPLE through there!  Can you say "Headchopper?"
