For my own personal view, Goliath is a "good" coaster, but I prefer more ejector-style of air, and this ride delivers floater air (and a lot of it), so if that's your thing...you'll love Goliath!

Let's go check out Le Monstre, eh?

Last time I rode this coaster, only 1 track was open, while the other track was still under construction!http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/297310_10150301923703566_194340658565_7862338_3696082_n.jpgHere's what it looks like from the top! It's a huge, MASSIVE ride! And here is what is looks like to RIDE Le Monstre...

The first drop doesn't deliver too much in the way of airtime, but it gets you going.

The ride kind of reminds me of "French Canadian Rattler", in that it has a massive structure, a giant helix, seems to have a lot of potential, but doesn't *quite* deliver.

You can barely see the train through all that wood!

Le Helix est Grand!

Yes, you did see that right, this is a DOUBLE tracked woodie...however it's not really a "racer."

Here is one track...

...and here is the other!

Both tracks are very similar, but I'm not sure it was really built to be a racer, just to have two tracks!

The ride still has the original skid braking system from when it was built in the mid-1980s.

We got to take a little tour behind the scenes of Le Monstre. This is underneath the station.

While this might look like one of those machines that spits tennis balls at you...

It's actually called a "track bender" which is used to bend the steel rails that go on the top layer of wood.

And this is called the "lost articles" section of the ride!

And yes, since there are two tracks, they need two chain lift motors!

These suckers really SPEED UP when the train is on the lift!

Apparently, Bob is the man! Go Bob!
