When ever i go to Disney I am never able to pass up Blizzard Beach. The combination of a waterpark and a snow storm is unheard of, of course that is why Disney is Disney. Going above and beyond every time. As Buzz Lightyear always says, "To infinity and beyond"
This water park gets a 5/5 because it is absolutely the best of its kind. Blizzard Beach is themed so well that the water slides become a PART of the scenery, not the other way around. For god's sake, they built a freaking mountain to put their slides on.
Aside from the theming, the water slide selection is more than varied. Two nice speed slides, (one of which is the fastest in the world, I believe) a toboggan double-dip style racing slide, storm slides, an amazing, long family raft ride, a sweet lazy river and wave pool, and a few tube slides to compliment it all.
The food is typical disney fare, but this water park is definitely the better of the two Disney offers. Make it to both of them, either way!
Blizzard Beach is one of the best waterparks in America! As far as themeing and visual appeal there is none better! Summit Plummit and Slush Gusher are two of the best speed slides anywhere, Slush Gusher in particular is loaded with airtime! Be warned that the park can get very crowed on summer days but lines for most everything besides Summit Plummit still remain manageable. The mat racer slides are very unique and a lot of fun. If you are a waterpark fan Blizzard Beach is a must see on your next trip to Orlando.
This waterpark is incredible the theming the rides just alot of fun! NOt many theme parks come close to the detail this park has! Also sience it is disney it has its disney flare to everything hidden mickeys and other stuff you just cannot beat at any other park in the world so much fun a great time there I always have and it is always one I have to return to it is such A great time! I always go every time!
What i love about Disney is the attention to detail. Blizzard beach is a perfect example. Everything is covered in snow!!! The slides they have are very good. They're like other water parks, but they are very unique in the sense that it's very well themed and presented. Great for a day of relaxing! If you want shade, go for one of the little areas under the trees- BIG tall trees. Overall a great water park!
Here's one water park where even those who don't care for the water can enjoy a few hours, thanks to its excellent landscaping and theming (a "ski resort" in Florida). BB has one of the best lazy river rides anywhere, and a solid selection of slides (topped by the Summit Plummet and Slush and Gusher, a body slide with a very scary double-down). The chairlift going up to the top of the "mountain," where many of the slides begin, is a nice touch.
The theming of this water park blew me away. Who would think that a snow theming would work for a water park but it truly does. They have some amazing slides that seriously throw your bathing suit up your butt. But in all seriousness when I visited the park it wasn't very crowded and the operations of running people through the rides was excellent. This is my favorite water park in the US!
