In 1997, Sea World of Texas was the first park in the chain to add a roller coaster. That year, they opened Great White, an inverted coaster. In 1999, Steel Eel was added. A 160 foot hyper coaster!


Walking along the path, we got our first glimpse of what we came for, Steel Eel!


A hyper coaster has no loops and is built for speed and airtime. Steel Eel has plenty of both!


These bunny hops on Steel Eel offer some decent airtime!

Before riding the Great White, they explain the riding rules to you. I have to be honest, I think I may have done a little bit of incorrect riding.

This inversion is called a heartline spin. Riders experience 0gs here!

Sea World of Texas also boasts a very wet rapids ride.


And a log flume where the onlookers can spray water at the riders!
