The magic is definitely there at Tokyo Disneyland, the best of the chain’s “Magic Kingdoms.” Many of the classic Disney attractions, such as Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean, are here in versions that are as good, and sometimes better, than at other Disney parks. The park is designed to handle huge crowds, which are pretty common, with the various lands bleeding into one another without much of a buffer and some large spaces between the park’s numerous attractions (navigation can be a little tricky).
The park’s major lands are International Bazaar (“Main Street”), Tomorrowland, Fantasyland (including Mickey’s Toontown), Frontierland, and Adventureland (including New Orleans Square). Note that most attractions are presented in Japanese, and that, due to transportation-tax reasons, the park’s railroad has only one station (and tours only Adventureland and Frontierland). And don’t miss out on the park’s many flavors of popcorn, including chocolate and curry!
The famous Disney service is actually kicked up a notch here—the most helpful cast members anywhere. No visit to Tokyo is complete without seeing Tokyo Disneyland.
