High up in the mountains of southern Japan is a random collection of stuff called Central Park. Most of the rides and attractions are scattered around a grassy, hilly meadow, making it tempting to label the place “Japan’s Six Flags America.” But it's a nice park to spend a few hours, with one very good inverted roller coaster (Diavlo, aka Six Flags' Batman); a huge family coaster (Jet Coaster); and some other interesting attractions. How many parks give you a chance to become part of an elite SWAT team and shoot aliens? The park is rather remote, and its appeal is largely for older kids, teens, and adults, but there are a few attractions for the young ones.
