The park is on a peninsula, providing a relaxing getaway within the largest inland city in Scandinavia. On park grounds are an aquarium and children's zoo, which are included in the admission price, and an Art Museum, which is an additional charge. As is the case with many Scandinavian parks there is a fun house and a ghost train, along with many average flat and water rides. Take Off is the only standout flat ride. Overall the coaster assortment is average, although Tornado, an Intamin inverted coaster, is a blast with a great layout. The inclusion of the zoo and dolphin show help compensate for the lack of rides for the youngest kids.
Sarkanniemi is a bit of a mixed bag. This combination aquatic/amusement park just seems to sprawl out everywhere with no real planning. But it does have a very good collection of rides, including Tornado, a rare, nonlaunched Intamin inverted coaster with an "underground" inversion. The rest of the coasters aren't all that special, but there are some good, sometimes unusual flats (Hurricane is probably the weirdest one of the bunch), and the park's haunted-house ride is a very odd mixture of cartooniness and gore (definitely worth checking out).
