This small, family-owned park with a decent assortment of rides can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace and is a nice place for a family to spend the day. The park offers one standout flat ride in Astrophere, an indoor scrambler where the ride operators take pride in devising their own show, including music, pictures, lights, and smoke. The water park is also a stand-out feature, as they have quite a few modern slides for being a smaller park. | |

The Food @ Funtown/Splashtown, USA

I have a sense of humor as I am a Stand Up Comedian but why does some of the food you get at Funtown/Splashtown, USA have to be presented so poorly and if I am paying over $8.00 for a steak and cheese sandwhich with peppers and onions...So, the worker gives me the wrong sandwhich and I point that out to him. So much for Quality Control and paying attention. Then when I get the correct sandwhich it is small sandwhich barely loaded with any meat or veges and cheese. I am paying a lot of money for a sandwhich so why can't the workers load it like when you go to a sandwhich and buy a meatball sub or a steak sandwhich??? That is all...I think that if Theme Parks also offered Organic Food for people who eat that regularly that would be good.

Great wooden coaster, the BEST flat ride in the world! and great employees.
Plus a drop tower, great water park and a good flat ride selection.
Worth a visit.

Not a park to write home about really, but if you are in the area definitely give it a try.
Some things I really liked though was some of the small classic flats. I thought Excalibur was alright, but it was downright crazy at night in the first half of the ride.
Don't miss the 25 cent rounds of skee-ball!

Funtown is one of those parks that you would hit on the way to another park. Excalibur during the day was not all that good, but at night, it hauled. Most people in our group fell out as they felt it was too intense during an hour marathon, but it wasn't that bad. The indoor scrambler was easily the best attraction of the park, the log ride was medicore.
POP gets you in the door.

Funtown Splashtown U.S.A. doesn't have any big rides or world class coasters, but it doesn't need them. This is a local's park, and is a very good one. Not only does it have Excalibur, an underrated wooden coaster, but it also has Dragon's Descent, which may be one of the scariest drop towers for first timers due to the lengthy wait at the top, and the Astrosphere, which is a scrambler combined with a laser and light show set to E.L.O.'s "Fire on High." Add in Splashtown water park, which is small but has a couple good slides, and you've got a worthy half-day adventure.

- If you're looking for a "thrill park", Funtown isn't that kind of place.
