Six Flags Darien Lake
Official Web site: http://www.sixflags.com

1999 marked the year that Darien Lake became a Six Flags park. Along with the
new moniker came Superman: Ride of Steel, a 205 foot hyper coaster!

Superman has some incredible airtime over the bunny hops and major hills.

The trains are very comfortable with only a single lap bar and seat belt holding you in!

The rider rules on Superman were interesting. Check out the very last one!

The Viper is a multi-looping roller coaster.

Viper was the first coaster to turn riders upside down 5 times. The inversions include a
vertical loop, boomerang, and a double corkscrew.

The vertical loop on Viper pulls some very strong positive G's.

The Mind Eraser is an inverted coaster that takes riders upside down 5 times.

The layout of the Mind Eraser is very twisted!

The UFO is a 'round up' like ride where riders stand in cages and are lifted almost vertical!

This upside down swinging ship looks just like the one from RCT!

The Predator is the park's wooden roller coaster.

The Predator has some steep drops and banked curves.

The Boomerang will take riders upside down forwards and backwards 6 times in under 60 seconds.
