It might not look like much, but Dragon's Fury is one of the most fun coaster experiences anywhere. This custom Maurer Sohne with spinning cars provides a unique ride each time. If possible try to ride with only three people in your car. Vampire (suspended) was originally built by Arrow but modified by Vekoma with new trains. Runaway Train is a juiced-up powered coaster.
Most of the remaining rides are family friendly. Monkey Swinger is a Wave Swinger was a surprise twist. Tomb Blaster is a re-ridable shooting dark ride. Imperial Leather Bubble Works is a one-of-a-kind indoor raft ride. Hocus Pocus Hall is an interesting walkthrough with optical illlusions. The park also has a decent-size zoo at no additional cost. |

| Chessington World of Adventures started out as a zoo and grew into a very quirky theme park. The park’s nine themed areas include homages to the American West, the mysterious Orient, and even Transylvania. The emphasis is on families at Chessington (Bubbleworks is not to be missed), but the park delivers some decent thrills, thanks to Vampire (a suspended coaster) and Dragon’s Fury (one of the best, most intense spinning coasters anywhere). Food offerings at Chessington are just average (you’ll find Burger King here), and the park can be pretty mobbed (with rather slow lines) in the summer when schools let out. Chessington is a nice if not awe-inspiring park, but if you’re vacationing in London, it’s worth visiting. | |

Chessington is not a thrill park- that's what Thorpe is for. Rather, it uses great theming to make the family rides seem great. The biggest coaster is Vampire, which is a fun ride with an AMAZING station (just hope the ride isn't broken). The Wild Mouse is incredibly themed, and Dragon's Fury is pretty good too. Don't miss the Monkey Swings either. Operations were ok. Food is well priced and good. Park atmosphere is fantastic, with lots of scenery and nice quiet areas. Didn't really get to check out the zoo portion, but that's there too! While it isn't going to be the most thrilling day ever, Chessington will provide a very fun and relaxing time.
