You may find it strange, but there really is more to Vegas than roller coasters and gambling. Take a tour of the Hoover Dam, drive to Mt. Charleston, get free chocolate the Ethel M Chocolate factory, or better yet test your driving skills at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
While you are there, might as well drive over to the Grand Prix and ride the kiddie wagon!
RM Seafood is excellent inside the Mandalay Bay as are many of the Wolfgang Puck restaurants. Ka and O are must see Cirque shows.
People don't travel to Las Vegas for roller coasters but if you are already there whats the harm in trying them out just be prepared to fork out some $$$$, The coasters on the strip are nothing spectacular, sadly the best of the bunch is no longer open but if you want the absolute bejesus scared out of you I highly recommend heading to the Stratosphere tower and riding the three rides on top of the tower
