| Attractions |
The park's main attractions are Bizarro (one of the top steel coasters in the world!), Batman: The Dark Knight, and Scream. Other attractions that can't be missed are Catapult (only S&S Flyswatter in the US), Houdini: The Great Escape (Vekoma Mad House), Buzzsaw, and Cyclone, a woodie where you better hold on for the first drop. Pandamonium is a spinning coaster with a small footprint and low capacity, but it has a single-rider line.
On those hot summer days, the park has a full-size water park included in the park admission. For the young ones, the park has two dedicated areas: Looney Tunes Movie Town and KIDZOPOLIS. The highlight of these areas is The Great Chase roller coaster.
It is best to get to the park when it opens and head straight to Bizarro; that will allow you to get a couple of rides in before the lines build to over an hour long. |
| Food |
The park has several options for food from BBQ (Big Ben's Longhorn BBQ), to seafood (Captain Brady’s Seafood) to hamburgers (Johnny Rockets Express). One of the better offerings in the park are the buffalo chicken tenders available at Spuds and Such near the Looney Tunes Food Court. For the sweet tooth, the park is home to Peaches and Cream and Sweet Shoppe.

From Boston: Take Mass Pike-West to Exit 6. Follow I-291 West 4.2 miles, merging right onto I-91 South to Exit 3 (Agawam). Cross bridge and take first exit. Follow rotary to Route 57 West, then take Route 159 South (Main Street) 2.9 miles to Six Flags New England.
From Albany: Take Mass Pike-East to Exit 4. Follow Route 5 South 5.8 miles to Route 57 West (Agawam/Southwick), then take Route 159 South (Main Street) 2.9 miles to Six Flags New England.
From New York City: Take I-95 to I-91 North to Exit 47W. Follow Route 190 West to Route 159 North, and continue 3.8 miles to Six Flags New England.

Six Flags New England sits on the edge of the Connecticut River, hence the former name of Riverside Park.
The park is highlighted by one "Super" coaster surrounded with a few more above-average coasters. The park contains a wide variety of flat rides, many of which are unique to American audiences. There are plenty of rides for families to enjoy together, including the those in the water park.
Sometimes in the summer the park will attract a surly, less patient crowd. | |

SFNE is one of the nicest parks I have been to. The coasters are good, and Bizzaro was amazing and made my trip. The flats at the park are actually pretty good and unique to a certain extent. Buzzsaw was my favorite ride of the trip besides Bizzaro. Also, the food seemed way better than the normal Six Flags food here. I love the fact that they were giving out free water and apples when I was there. The park was not busy at all during my visit, but that was probably because it was 120 degrees outside when I was there. Overall, this park is a must visit if you're in the area.

If you've made it to this park, you are probably most excited about Bizarro. As you should be. It is pretty much everything you could hope for a coaster to be, and worth the wait for the front seat. Outside of that, this park is a mixed bag. Operations are hit or miss and can be frustrating at times. Theming is good in some areas, and bland in others. The rest of the coasters range from quite good (Cyclone and Batman) to decent (Pandemonium, Thunderbolt) to plain bad (yes, you Flashback). A few decent flats and a great rapids could definitely use some company. The layout of the park is beyond awkward and makes navigation frustrating, but not much can be done about that. The included waterpark is great. Don't be surprised by heavy crowds.

Fun park with a great coaster line-up. Bizarro is the #1 coaster on the planet which really boosts up the line up including teriffics like thunderbolt, cyclone, pandemonium, Batman the dark knight, mind eraser,flashback and several others. Also, they will be adding another giant next year. Deja Vu from SFMM. Can't wait!

I love this park. When attend all of the time, we even attended for the famous TPR Bizzaro Bash. The park is medium sized and has a great selection of thrill rides. The only two problems are that the food in this park are shit. I dont really expect gourmet food at an amusement park. They also seem to have been removing many kiddie rides and for the most part good family rides. Its either kiddie rides or big rides. Not the best for families.

I don't view SFNE as anything special and I am not a Bizarro fanboy by anymeans. Personally I don't care much for any of the coasters in their collection. Batman has a nice pop of air if you sit in the front, the SLC is a head banger as is the boomerang, a few kiddie coasters, and small collection of flats. The rapids rides is decent, but easily the best flat is the giant fly swatter, but watch out, the restraints are tight!
Unfortunatley I also found their ride crews to be somewhat slow and disorganized and not a lot of shade ot hide from the elements. About the only thing that would bring me back again would be if it were on a TPR tour trip or they get the next record breaking coaster.

While many people aren't a fan of Six Flags parks because of the extensive commercialism, I don't share that perception. Case in point, SFNE. Nice, clean park with a number of great rides. Bizzaro was exceptional. While my favorite coaster is Goliath at SFoG, Bizzaro is a very close second. In addition to Bizzaro, SFNE boasts Pandemonium (the best spinning coaster I've ever been on) and Houdini, which is a really well done "dark" ride with a nice twist.

This Six Flags park is very nice, with a good collection of average rides and Bizarro. Bizarro still is an amazing coaster, especially considering its age, though the increase in crazy Intamin coasters has made it less special than when it opened. Still one of the top coasters around. The wooden coasters are both nice, and Batman is a decent floorless. Flats are a bit boring, but there is the SkySwatter and the nicest looking swings you've ever seen. Food is typical 6 Flags, as well as entertainment. Waterpark is nice, with Typhoon and Tornado. Operations are very good. Picnic pavilion is probably the nicest I've ever seen. There is quite the hill, and can be pretty big to walk around. Atmosphere is nice, but nothing too special.

Six Flags New England has been around for a long time, although it has only been a Six Flags park for a decade or so. Some parts of the park still retain the pre-Six Flags look, and appear similar to what I would imagine a trolly park looked like (especially at night). Six Flags, however, has done a lot here. In addition to Bizarro, which is likely America's best steel coaster, the park has a decent collection of coasters (with Flashback being the only poor one), as well as some unique non-coasters like Catapult and Houdini-The Great Escape. Add in the included water park and remaining atmosphere, and, as the only major park in the North East, this is certainly a park worth visiting.

SFNE is one of the smaller Six Flags parks, with only one standout coaster. That standout coaster however, Bizarro, is deserving of its spot as #1 steel in the world (although the audio is horrible). They also have Batman: Dark Knight, a fun little floorless which isn't anything special. Thunderbolt is a fun classic coaster. I wasn't a fan of Cyclone, though. It was a heavily trimmed, rough mess. I regret not riding in back so I didn't experience any of the ejector air that can reportedly be found there. There's also Pandemonium (didn't ride; I'm not very keen on the spinning concept). You will also find Mind Eraser and Flashback, which are standard clones. SFNE is also overpriced. A nice park, but nothing very special (except for Bizarro).

Six Flags New England is a great little park, with one of the best coasters in the world! Bizarro is amazing, and some of the other coasters are good too. The included water park is quite large, and there are many rides for little kids.
