pianojohn
These are pics from the 1st year that the Riverside Cyclone ran. Notice the original first drop and PTC trains! And The Black Widow
EnglndPatriots6
Looks like a fun coaster. That first drop looks fun to. Sad part is, PTC trains.

larrygator
Oh I rode the Riverside Cyclone before I knew much about this hobby in the 1980's. Boy was that a great ride.
bspellx5
Cyclone looked so much smaller then, especially in the 6th picture down. Not sure why, maybe because it doesn't have too much surrounding it?
nhman93
I agree that for some reason the ride looks much smaller then it does today, but anyways great pictures
Thrillrider92
Nice pictures. I haven't seen pictures of this ride in a while. It just makes me want to get up to Six Flags New England. They have some great looking coasters.
moinab
Awwww! My home park! Black Widow was originally "The Loop," and it was a big deal to us, way back when! Actually, my original home park was Mountain Park, in Holyoke. Anybody remember that one?

Rinith
Oh man, the original 3 bench PTC's. Somehow got damaged so they had to get new ones from Morgan. Those would valley all the time though so Six Flags bought new PTC's which then started to tear up the track. Poor Cyclone, it's a good coaster but the trains always suck for it.
