So this one is really odd....

Other than being handed a map that is somewhat in English....we're not actually sure if the place is open! The website said it was....the woman that took our money said it was, but there was NO ONE at the park!

AT ALL!!!!

Seriously, for the first two hours, other than the three of us we only saw the woman at the front gate, 1 ride op at the coaster, and 1 ride op at the walk through dark ride!

Anyway, there's lots of photos of the coaster and the really bizarre obstacle course here:

http://www.themeparkreview.com/uminonakamichi/uminonakamichi1.htm

And then you can check out a full POV of "Jet Coaster" here:
http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32101

And finally, if you haven't seen our TPR video from Uminonakamichi, check it out here:
http://www.themeparkreview.com/videos/uminonakamichi.htm

It has a lot of GREAT footage from the obstacle course of us nearly killing ourselves! Taiko Really Happy

Enjoy!

Great video Robb, even though it is the strangest one on the site. It is nice that the gallerys are being updated, but there are still some park visits that haven't been updated, but hopefully they'll come.

I know this park was really empty, but looking through the updates, it seems as though almost all of the smaller-as in all of those that aren't Fuji-Q, Nagashima, and Disney-are empty. How do the parks manage to stay open and manage to have large coasters?

Like which ones?

I've been going through quite a few and getting them all up to date.

Never mind, I found the gallery. I guess I overlooked the park the 50 times I looked for it. Taiko Blush

What is the name of that walk through dark ride thing ? With all the spirals in the letters and that woman with the twisted neck it looks like it has been themed to the movie Uzumaki, a japanese horror movie where everyone gets obsessed with spirals Taiko LMAO!

^ I have no idea. It was all in Japanese. And I could barely pronounce "Uminonakamichi" let alone what the name of the dark ride was! Taiko Laughing

What is that body of water way out there? Sea of Japan?

I don't know why I'm curious, it's just kinda weird to see all that water out there.

Love the empty park Photo TR though. Reminds me of Pedroland, except you got to ride working rides!!!
