Hhappy
It is that time of the year again. Halloween What better place to visit (for me as a dutch person) then the home of Halloween, aka the USA. Orlando sounds like an awesome place for this.. right? Another year and another meet up with some TPR friends was the result (and a cruise, but more on that later) I'll do the updates a bit more random (thanks Chuck for the idea) since it's still that time of year and i guess not that many people are interested in IOA pictures at this time... So first up: Universal Halloween Horror Nights. For some reason this event did not do much for me. Something seemed to be missing.. The houses were ok, there were a lot of people.. but the rest of the park was just.. there was no vibe in the park.. it was just some houses and that's all.. I like to be submerged into something and be on my toes the entire time.. (if it comes to being scared) anyway Enjoy Part 2: Mickey's not so scary Halloween party Part 3: Busch Gardens Bash & HOS Part 4: Random Disney & IOA Part 5: Legoland Florida Cruise: Part 1: Arrival, breakfast and cupcake Part 2: Labadee Part 3: Flowrider time First stop at Universal Studio. Mummy the plan for today?? Stay and Scream how's it going sailor dude?? it looks so pretty... krusty... yeah... says it all owh wait.. looks like things might get a bit more spooky later today it has been a while since i've been in this area first maze of the evening.. the sun is slowly going down.. pretty clouds.. more pretty clouds.. and yes.. it was also time for Jaws Beetlejuice Looks like the sun is almost gone handheld playing with longer shutter times.. pretty at night more handheld shutter fun this might actually be a scarezone.. i guess.. in the distance by know we had concured all the mazes and decided for a break.. look at all the folks still waiting to get in.. the globe hard rock across the water ok, time to get back in the park.. lot of people lovely collapse projection on the building BIG fire let's see what's in here.. looking the other way.. 21?? 21!! Men in Black.. Edited December 3, 2011 by Hhappy

cfc
I love the HRRNR shots (much better than my crappy ones). The "collapsing" buildings were cool, too.
BeemerBoy
I remember you showing me those in line. I thought they looked pretty good on the small display screen, and they look really good here too.....especially for handheld shots with no post work done to them! Nice work, Hanno. I'm anxious to see more.
larrygator
I never saw these collapsing buildings.

cfc
ok, where's the head?? He's still trying to get ahead! Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk . . . slap! . . . ow! Looks like that new lens was good investment, Hanno--the parade pictures are particularly good. But the lens is nothing unless you know how to use it, and you certainly know how. BeemerBoy
^ A good investment indeed! Great parade shots, Hanno. I'm curious how you shot the Headless Horseman? He's like the "holy grail" of Disney nighttime parade shots, and that's one of the more unique shots I've seen of him!
Hhappy
I did not use the new lens for the parade, only for the mansion. The horseman.. sometimes you need a bit of luck
Hhappy
Sorry for the delay folks, it's been busy here the last couple of days. To complete the Halloween related updates it's time for the next one. Here's a "few" images from Busch Gardens Bash and HOS. Plenty of things to do, tours to take and fun moments with an awesome group. I'm pretty sure that there are plenty of Cheetah images on the web already.. so not much of those in this update (and it was pretty late (getting darker) before i managed to make me some time to look for picture spots etc). feel free to comment early morning rides are always fun and welcome happy riders next stop, Montu awh, somebody keep her company next time ok, time to move on it's pink Nice updated area (compared to my last visit) The Kumba shot almost everybody has how's it going? kids having fun best of 2 worlds? the infamous wire point inside the shop reminded me of another flick.. ("precious" comes to mind) after hearing some sounds, i skipped this ride always fun, watching people spread those legs doing a raindance and getting soaked this splash area gives plenty of photo ops darn cloudy sky so this is how that darn scoop works back to green curvy awesome moment going down gravity is fun bye bye another kid hiting the brakes ok, tour time so this is how this part looks interesting inside of a basically stripped train build your own seat outside to inside transition tiny wheels time to check out the outside area over the wall rolling looping pretty close different loop angle going up coming down making speed yeah, that's pretty close gaving fun stupid pole still montu thanks for the awesome tour ok, time for some cheetah up side down bit wire jumping coming down in the distance Gwazi and plenty of screams time to hop on the skyride different angle rolling that's a lot of track yeah, it's dark.. scary time pretty lights lines were even longer during the night plenty of people not so many people here see? launch area looking up one more time it's fire ok, that's it. Hope you enjoyed it/

aimster
Nice! I will always have fond memories of Busch Gardens Bash. It was such a great (however looong) day. Was hoping you were going to post the group shot of everyone that morning before the bash started. How did it turn out?

Hockeyman55
^ LOL @ the build a seat caption. Kind of like Build a Bear but with your very own roller coaster seat lol. What type of lens do you use to shoot at night?

What type of lens do you use to shoot at night? Thanks, I used the standard kit lens 18-105VR for night shots except the images from the haunted mansion which were taken with a "new" 35mm 1.8 prime (all Nikon stuff)
cfc
The Montu tour was the best backstage coaster tour I've ever been on--very nicely done.

Funny, I just bought a 35mm f1.8 for my Sony last weekend lol, havent had a chance to use it yet. I ended up using a 50mm f1.8 just about all day and night during the bash and love that lens and being able to take better night pictures with those f1.8 lenses.
