UPDATE - Monday, September 8th, 2014!

NEW POLL!!! We would love to hear your feedback to the new poll question either way. If yes - how useful do you find the emails? If no - why don't you find them useful? Please reply back with your comments!

Your feedback is VERY important to us! Thank you!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've gotten back into the habit of sending out weekly emails to our forum members with a short list of the top updates on the site, in case they have missed anything.

Please let me know if you find these emails useful or not.

And, if you're not getting them, you should update your email address in the User Control Panel!

Thanks for your feedback!

I voted FOR the Monday fun e-mails because I know that many threads that are noteworthy, become lost in the ever changing threads such as the SFGAm thread with Goliath updates. It really gives people the weekly update, and it lets them know about what they're missing.

Posted

I picked hate them, though I don't honestly hate them. I do get TPR emails, but it really isn't a priority for me to open them every day, so I didn't even know that there were fun emails going out.

Posted

I like them, don't generally visit the home page so it's another way to discover the "highlights" of the week, as it were. Plus,my trip report was featured this week - what's not to love about that!?

Posted

I enjoy the updates, reminders and stuff that TPR keeps me informed on.

Sometimes I miss some stuff on my own, and the update actually points me out

to "more good stuff".

Posted

I definitely don't hate them. They are definitely nice, but I login to the forums multiple times a day anyways, so for me it's rare to see something there that I missed.

Posted

I chose hate them. If people really have desire to know about the industry, they would browse TPR forum with or without the email's inform. If they do not have desire to know about everything, they won't click it anyways. It's a waste of time for TPR to do something not very helpful for a group of people. TPR is already good enough that I don't think weekly update is needed.

I like them, and last time found myself clicking on a couple of links, so found that quite useful. Another TPR email is fine by me!

No complaints here. I always like to see what's been picked and brought to greater attention, like trip reports, news updates or interesting older threads. I like the little descriptions, even if I'm already aware of most of the topics.

Posted

I like the emails, but since I visit the site daily (or at least every other day) I've usually seen everything that is mentioned. Still, there's occasionally something that I saw and didn't have time to read that the email reminds me of.

Posted

I do like the e-mails, I try to check the forums daily, but some days I can't. The e-mails give me a chance to see a bit about what's going on on the forums, along with the fact that if I miss something good, it's there.

I like them. I skim them when they come in to see if I missed a topic of interest. As others have mentioned, sometimes I end up skimming a few threads because they are very chatty and sometimes I miss topics that I find interesting.

Posted

The one thing I like about them is that I get that email on my phone so when I'm out and have down time it is easy to browse the forum.
