Canobie Lake Park Discussion Thread

Postby robbalvey » Fri May 05, 2006 11:28 pm

Hey everybody!

This thread is simple! Rather than having a million little threads about everything that goes on at Canobie Lake Park, this thread is designed to consolidate it all into one user-friendly thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index Page.

Below are some links to past updates from the park, you may be interested in. Enjoy!

Ok, this has to be one of the weirdest stories EVER!

Someone in New Hampshire has kidnapped a Pillsbury Doughboy statue from a local grocery store and is sending ransom notes along with photos. One of the photos was a picture of the Doughboy in front of the gates of CANOBIE LAKE PARK!!!!

WTF?!?!

Watch this video here:

C'mon Canobie Fan....fess up to it! ;)

Can anyone find a picture of it online? If you do, please post it!

Robb, you have entirely too much free time in your life to find these things.

THANK GOD FOR THAT!

I needed a laugh today, and you provided quite nicely.

I heard this on the radio earlier.

There have also been pix of him applying for work at a few franchises like BK and Wendys...

And so far - no 'dough' has been demanded for his return, nyuk nyuk.

Saw this on the news last night and lets just say its probably the funniest thing I have heard all day. That doughboy... so awesome.

Although the grocery store it was at is closing this weekend says the news.
-My butt has touched 112 roller coasters, how unfortunate.

^ Is it closing because it no longer has it's Doughboy?! Has the ransom bankrupted it?! ::lol::

I'm not so sure about Robb having too much free time, but the person who's pulling this prank DEFINITELY does. Pointless but hilarious. ::lol::
