It's places like Athisayam that make you appreciate just how big and wonderful the world is, and just how many obscure places the theme park industry has penetrated. On the outskirts of Madurai, a Holy City, this giant park - majority water park - is one of those places that just make you scratch your head. The place was huge, but there was nobody there. Many of the water slides had problems like - there wasn't water in them. They weren't screwed together properly. The original support structure had been replaced by wooden scaffolding. Or this one's brake run is actually an inclined cement sidewalk. It's a quirky place, and the water coaster is ferOCious - don't let it fool you. That being said, my friends and I had an absolute blast!
