Growing up in NY's capital district, this was the first park I ever visited. All of the rides are strictly local fare, except Skooters.
The greatest Lusse Skooters outside Knoebels. A smaller circuit w/ fewer cars, but they hit with a viciousness that I think exceeds those in Elysburg (fewer cars = more juice to the motors?) These are not for kiddies; the height minimum is aprox 52 inches.
If you are on the Northway in NY ( I-87) heading to or from The Great Escape get off at exit 5 & take a left (north or southbound doesn't matter.) Take a right on Route 9 and in two minutes you'll be in Skooter heaven ( or hell, if you prefer.)
Visited this place after reading a tip that some old Lusse Skooters were operating here (the same kind as at Knoebels). We didn't even ride the coaster, we arrived late on a Sunday night and took a couple spins on the skooters. They were amazing, at least as good as Knoebels. The rest of the park was ok, more for kids than us, that's for sure. But oh did I have fun nailing my ex-girlfriend there!
