Aqua Stadium is an unusual indoor park that's part of the Shinigawa Prince Hotel complex in downtown Tokyo. It's a combination sea-life and theme park, complete with an aquarium and dolphin show; the space-and-train-themed Galaxy Express 999 launched coaster; and the most elaborately themed swinging pirate ship ride anywhere (complete with light, water, and cannon effects). Aqua Stadium isn't worth a special trip, but it can provide a very pleasant family evening out.
It has been a lonnnng time since I was there. I only had an hour and there was a huge line outside, but I made it in and got on the coaster in just enough time. Did not have any more time to really see the rest of the "park", and I'm pretty sure I just paid for a single ride on the coaster.
The coaster itself is worth visiting, though, because it is so random and unique. It is a friction-wheeled launch coaster with a really surprising, somehow very disorienting vertical loop in the middle of the course. I wish I had had more time and money to ride it a second time. Might be worth it to take enough time to see the aquarium and all the other rides, but the coaster itself is enough to make me want to go back again.
