I wasn't planning on coming here during my trip since I'm generally not a fan of waterparks, but I was happy to give it a try for $9. It was a windy day that kept crowds away, which was great except the chill going up stairs. I followed the guard's tips and easily saw a dolphin the first time on Dolphin's Plunge, and had successful sights 4 out of 5 times. Roa's Rapids, the "fast river" was amazingly fun too, definitely the best attraction here. The other slides were nice, but ultimately not amazing- the bowls were fun, and the funnel slide wasn't quite as good as I had hoped. It would be nice to see more animals throughout the park. Banana Beach Cookout was very tasty, and employees were friendly. Worth adding on for Roa.
Having been to all of Orlando's waterparks, I was really impressed when I finally got to visit Aquatica. While it doesn't offer the thrill factor that Wet n Wild or Blizzard Beach do, it certainly excels in having a fantastic atmosphere, great food and beverage choices, and a large selection of family-friendly rides. Honestly, I just think this park is just one major thrill ride short of being the most well rounded waterpark in Orlando
Aquatica by Seaworld is a the newest waterpark in the Orlando area but is one of the best. While Wet N Wild probably has the best collection of slides, and Blizzard Beach probably has the best themeing, Aquatica might be the most well rounded waterpark in the area. Beautifully landscaped with a great mix of slides Aquatica is worth spending a day at. Roa's rapids is a "fast" version of a lazy river that is one of the most simple but uniquely entertaining water park attractions around. The park also feature a dolphin exhibit that is view able from an observation area, the lazy river, and even while on the park's signature "Dolphin Plunge" clear tube slide.
We went to this water park because of a combo Sea World ticket. We did wait a very long time to ride the Dolphin Plunge and was disappointed to realize that I zipped through the tank so fast that I didn't see any dolphins on my way through. However we thoroughly enjoyed the tubeless Lazy River-ish ride, which is anything BUT! The current is very swift and the meandering route quickly sweeps you all around the park. You can literally stand up and surf your way around! Probably not the best for little ones, but my 9 and 11 year LOVED it and we all spent a good number of hours in there! Besides that, we ended up going to Sea World for the remainder of the day...
Aquatica must have improved alot since some of the visits below. It has great food, great rides, and great employees. Though it doesn't really have any "WOW" rides it does have quite a few decent ones. If you want a nice relaxing day with some thrills then go to Aquatica, if you want all thrills then go to Wet n' Wild simple as that. By the way, Dolphins Plunge is an unforgettable experience.
Aquatica is a pretty small water park to be in a major location in Orlando, Florida. Certain rides in the park can soar up to nearly 2 hour waits, which is usually never worth it. I myself waited 1 hour just to ride Dolphin's Plunge, and thought that it wasn't worth it. The other slides in the water park are fun and the theming is great, but It's crowd level is quite annoying.
Aquatica is my least favorite water park in the Orlando area. It also does not help that there is very little shade throughout the park. With that said, it is great for kids in that it does have an amazing water fortress area. For those who are thrill seekers may want to check out Wet N Wild instead.
