Photo TR: A "Jiggidy Johnson" Week in California

Postby Erik Johnson » Thu Mar 26, 2009 10:07 am

I was lucky enough to be invited out to "TPR Central" to help out with a few new upcoming projects. I always love coming out to California for annual West Coast Bash event. It is always great to hang out with old friends as well as meet a bunch of new ones as well. This time there were 700 of you. I should start off by thanking everyone who was involved with making this event a success, and I hope to be able to come out again next year. Anyways, let us get right down to some photos:
DSC06649 [].JPG
Wow, what a rather large Pac-Man.
DSC06645 [].JPG
I do have a lot of pointless knowledge in my brain.
DSC06650 [].JPG
Oh, nice. I think those things are called mountains.
DSC06647 [].JPG
"One shall rule them all!" ....Well maybe not.
DSC06655 [].JPG
Whoa! Freaky!
DSC06663 [].JPG
A few of us close friends gathered together for K.T.'s second birthday.
DSC06659 [].JPG
How fitting for the name for our room.
DSC06658 [].JPG
JimmyBo tried to impress us all with his Dixie Cup Dance.
DSC06656 [].JPG
Wes likes to spell out cryptic messages.
DSC06661 [].JPG
Russ showed us his Dixie Cup Dance moves as well.
DSC06666 [].JPG
The cake was really awesome.
DSC06665 [].JPG
While not a credit, the slide proved to be insane fun!
DSC06667 [].JPG
Thumbs up for the food.
DSC06669 [].JPG
Seriously, the slide was really insane.
DSC06672 [].JPG
Ummm, don't you think you are a little too big for that?
DSC06674 [].JPG
The next morning was West Coast Bash 2009.
DSC06675 [].JPG
I have to admit that I did not see a single member of this group in the park that day.
DSC06677 [].JPG
For me, this was sleeping in.
DSC06678 [].JPG
Noted.
DSC06679 [].JPG
Good morning!
DSC06680 [].JPG
My job was to be one of the guardians of the WCB T-Shirts.
DSC06682 [].JPG
Hey there!
DSC06681 [].JPG
I think everyone has this photo.
DSC06683 [].JPG
The rain actually stopped as everyone went into the park.

I had noticed in another report that it was Physics day... Of all the time I worked at SFMM that was without a doubt the best day I had there. In order to learn physics the students (and myself :)) made paper air plane's and flew them inside of Magic Moments, with the one going the greatest distance earning it's creator two free tickets.

Good times!

Somehow, I snuck into the very last picture in the bottom right hand corner (that's me with the blue jacket and prominent bald spot).

Sorry I didn't talk to you much, Erik, other than to say hi once. It's my turn to go to Florida, so maybe there. I hope you had a good time at the Bash despite the weather.

So you are Mr. Erik Johnson... Well I called you Mr. Shorts on WCB so I'm sticking to it! ;) It was really nice meeting you, Cameron and the the guy would looked like he was ready for skiing down some slopes (I forgot his name) :( It was fun hanging out with you guys and I'm looking forward to seeing you guys again. By the way you were very sneaky into getting me in a picture... (I'm the shortest one in the picture by the way)

Anyone known where this Goliath sign used to be?
DSC06753 [].JPG
I am really looking foward to riding this next year.
DSC06756 [].JPG
Tim came out to talk about the new coaster, as well as answer questions.
DSC06757 [].JPG
Everyone was soaking in all the information.
DSC06759 [].JPG
Yes, there is a lot of wood lying around.
DSC06760 [].JPG
The first drop as well as the top of the lift.

In the afternoon we attended a presentation with the park's management.

I wonder how heavy the Jr. Goliath sign is? I wouldn't mind having that at the entry to my house. Great Trip Report, and I envy your Deja Vu rides!

I actually was able to earn that one while it was still at SFGam. I got that one as well as the one at SFoG in 2006.
