Photo TR: Orlando 2.0 - Wes Strikes Back

Postby Wes » Wed Oct 11, 2006 8:18 pm

My girlfriend and I decided to go to Orlando for a week of fall fun with a bunch of friends.

I'll probably be posting updates every other day or so, so feel free to post replies in the meantime.

Day One: Getting Here and Animal Kingdom!
0.jpg
It's 7am, don't I look pleasant? I apologize for making you all stare at my ugly face.
1.jpg
Thank god we didn't have to fly out of stupid LAX! Burbank is so much nicer and laid back than that hell hole!
2.jpg
In case of crash landing, you ARE allowed to give yourself oral pleasure and/or make out with babies
3.jpg
Jetblue is awesome, and our flight was only half full.
4.jpg
Not very full at all!
5.jpg
HAY LOOK WE'RE ON A PLANE
6.jpg
Reason #1 Jetblue is awesome: I CAN WATCH COLBERT ON THE TV's!
7.jpg
Alexis goes for the first ride of the trip, the MCO monorail.
8.jpg
Alexis gets friendly with the local wildlife.
9.jpg
Our hotel for the trip, Port Orleans Riverside. This place is really pretty.
10.jpg
The lobby. It's really white.
12.jpg
Of course, we didn't fly all the way across the country to lounge around at the hotel.
13.jpg
I've come back for some hot Yeti luvin'.
14.jpg
Of course, I came dressed to pay homage to my favorite giant hairy ape.
15.jpg
I fought the law!
16.jpg
I wasn't making a face in this photo, that's just how I look all the time.
17.jpg
YETI BOOOOOOOOOOOBS!!!
18.jpg
Obligatory standard roller coaster photo.
19.jpg
And another for good measure.
20.jpg
Jim and KC are ready to experience the power of the Yeti.
21.jpg
BIRD ON A STICK BIRD ON A STICK BIRD ON A STICK BIRD ON A STICK
22.jpg
I do not like this ride, but the shot came out well.
23.jpg
LOOK AT THE SIZE OF HIS...
24.jpg
Drive slow, homey.
25.jpg
NOT our dino!
26.jpg
I found a way to make Dark Dark Dark Dinosaur 75% DARKER!!!
27.jpg
Last one for tonight, just a cool lamp in AK with the old logo (with the dragon).

Nice pics so far. I know that when we flew to SoCal with JetBlue we were very happy with them too...our flight was also only half full (it left at 6:30 in the morning though).

Nice TR, but what's the chicken-on-a-stick joke about? I rode EE back in March and I don't remember seeing anything, but I was in the back so I probably missed it.

Welcome to the East Coast (the better one of course ;) ) Cool shot of the lamp with the old logo - I *heart* the lights at Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom that at night look like bugs are crawling around them.

//you better come to Frontierland on Sunday night! :)
