beatle11
Holy air! Great job getting that shot. Also, when I saw the pics from Adventure Land, I remembered this footage of The Outlaw I had favorited on YouTube.
Hhappy
Thanks again for your trip reports Hanno! The Prowler walkback was a lot of fun, even if it was roughly the temperature of the surface of the sun outside . I've never had so much fun while melting as I've had on a TPR trip. Now I miss my TPR friends again . David Miss you to. It's like life goes from one TPR trip to the next one.. and everything in between.. doesn't matter.. or does that sound just wrong? Going through all the pictures for these updates makes me go through all the emotions again.. and darn it.. i wish i could do all the trips that are offered.. At least there are still some pictures left...
RaptorBoyASU
It looks like Robb is giving Jon and I the sex talk. I can only imagine how fudged up that talk would be coming from Robb. Elissa, you should probably head that one up when Kristen gets about that age, unless you're planning a career in porn for her. LOL.
Hhappy
Time for another highlight (for me) on this trip. Day 4: Silver Dollar City. This place was simply stunning, some awesome coasters a very nice looking park and friendly people. There's also a possibility for a cave tour (which i missed/did not do (another reason to go back)) which is a lot of fun(i've heard). Another fine weather day (aka hot) but so much fun. Don't forget Fire in the Hole while you're there. Such a fun ride. There was also a nice treat for some Powder Keg walkback pictures.. Which (by the way) was one amazing ride. Had a blast and i have a feeling that next time i'll be riding it a lot more Hope you like the walkback pictures. Feel free to comment or just tell me to to shut up and post the pictures ok, this should make some folks feel very welcome just in case you wonder where we are today party time somewhere behind this facade is a ride.. Powder keg time for some credit whoring.. check spin spin spinning something is (apparently) missing in this image.. green owh. another coaster swing baby swing they look so tiny that's more like it guess i should have done some cropping.. a well nice area of the park splash battle.. i was al ready to get on it later that day.. but it never happened time to fill up stuck under the waterfall at the splash battle.. any park that has fire.. is cool ok, time to head backstage launch with a tiny bit of fire.. between the trees launch... go go goo good looking structure funky turns here they come as seen from the other side optical illusion lovely sky trying to find another angle hmmm that's more like it plug those ears.. it's launch time pretty darn close heading away another banked turn lifthill they look so tiny i think this is one of my personal favorite coaster pictures. nice weird effect close up time love the hair ehm.. no comment happy people for all ages train on top of the lifthill coming down the drop after the launch hello ladies lots and lots of people smiling ehm.. A ?? attempt at a side profile thingy more fire this ride was such an amazing surprise christmas?? cake eating contest.. (no hands) always fun.. ok, just another quick image that's it folks, hope you enjoyed it
Guy T. Koepp
I am so happy I am getting to this park next year. I always think it looks like one of the nicest in the US.
RoCo
Once again, gorgeous photos. Man, do I miss this park; haven't been in ages (Powder Keg was still Buzzsaw Falls... yikes). Easily one of the most beautifully landscaped theme parks in the world.
coast4airtime
Does Powder Keg have an audio system because I think I saw an audio box on the back of the train in one of the pictures.
Hhappy
^ not sure about the audio system and the box.. i think i did see some onride camera's.. but my brain might not be sharp enough anymore since it's been a while.. anyway.. time for another update. Day 5 started with a fun stop/visit to the St. Louis Gateway Arch. I love the fact that we got the opportunity to see something "cultural" next to all the coasters and parks while doing this trip. Coming from abroad this is one of the somewhat famous things and places to see (i guess) A lot of people on the group took the "elevator" system up the arch to check out the view etc. having read some reports (and seen some pictures of the capsules) i decided not to (stupid me) I think i missed out.. but it was nice to relax a little and not have to worry about crowds.. being claustrophobic and some other stuff.. After this it was time for one of the most amazing things i've ever seen in the US.. City Museum. Maybe more on that later. But first some pictures from the stop at the Arch.. hmm, i think i've seen that structure in some sort of movie before.. this tower reminded me of another movie.. don't ask me why.. ok, that's where we're heading.. yeah.. it is pretty darn big a quick look back at a part of the city trying to be artsy.. (fail) riverboats.. riverboats looks like construction work was being done at that building.. (City Hall?) back inside (where there was AC) nice wall so that's how they did it glad that i got to see this exhibition back outside.. i had to take a look at the tiny windows at the top.. and yes.. a little cleaning would not harm.. if you know where to look.. you might be able to spot those windows.. just to give you an idea.. pretty sure most folks that have been here have a similar picture if only for that car... almost perfect.. a well.. next stop City Museum
Guy T. Koepp
Wow! I thought that thing got destroyed in Category 6 "Day of Destruction!" Or did you visit before it was destroyed. Perhaps they rebuilt it already? Hmmmmmmmmmmm? Meh! Awesome pictures Hanno. They really show the immenseness of the arch. I can't wait to see your take on the City Museum. Hhappy
Thanks for the reply Guy, i think i remember seeing that movie.. and i think i remember another one as well... for some reason i expected a big water area in front of it (and not the river next to it) movies... Anyway, anybody else interested in a City Museum update?

Hhappy
Yeah, Another update, it's still day 5 of the trip and it's time for... City Museum (in St. Louis) This place was amazing and like nothing i had ever seen in the US. Despite walking around with a camera bag all the time and not doing slides and other random (weird and scary) things i had a blast. Here's a lot of pictures which should give you an idea of the place and the fun we had. I'm pretty sure i still missed a gazillion things that were there but i do hope you can appreciate this "view" of one of the most crazy things in the US. Here goes "nothing" first look at this place.. owh my.. this does look very intresting what's that contraption?? nice parking spot so many small and interesting details.. time to enter rooftop entrance area first impression why so sad? ok, let the games (and fun) begin.. yeah.. turned out.. you could get in there as well.. halfpipe?? bowl (or whatever it's called) thingy stuck behind the wall hmm, so many options.. yes, it's ok to climb this awesome structures.. small ball pit ok, who moved the forest inside the building? so many small details.. yes, that is a slide.. but wait.. there's more to look at we're still in the same building.. owh my.. i've heard stories about these.. 10 story slide?? trying not to get lost.. looking up.. i tried to go up.. but got lost along the way.. yum yum yum lights.. pretty lights yeah.. that's pretty far up.. scared for life lots of fun with light time to wander around even more.. imagine all the things you could do here.. another climb/slide option.. back downstairs.. i see somebody going up please wait for somebody to follow time to check out the roof slide exploring ( i need to get better at these againts the light pictures) yup, still at the roof part of the view looking down the slide overlooking what's going on.. going up and that might happen when going down.. here's the next victim nice roll take cover another way to cool down a little so how did you end up there? bus time... friction..?? ehm... terrified? now this is a ball pit.. spot the TPR members Lou hiding behind TP TP stepping to the side and Lou after getting hit.. love the expression everybody aim for Lou how to reuse some of the things you can find back inside.. that does look pretty darn high.. relaxing seats so many directions to go and things to do.. want to check out the plane?? how to park your plane and there's the bus fire truck red slide ehm.. this looks like a fun play area.. finally, i found the museum part small things ok, let's check out this corner.. pretty lights peep show?/ tunnel?? ehm.. i think i've seen this before.. slide fun.. so many small things everybody wait, i'm on my way all slide together but wait.. there's still more to check out.. seconds before the "big" crash.. mirror fun looking down.. looking.. ehm.. not sure.. it was time to go, but what an awesome time. If i'm ever back in the area.. i'll be sure to plan some time for another visit. Thanks you awesome staff i had an amazing time. robbalvey
When I look at those photos all I can think to myself is "confusion!" I really think this is one of those places where no photos or video can really do it justice. It's so hard to describe the confusion, insanity, immersion, and everything that City Museum is unless you go there. I'm sure there are areas and things that I missed, but at the same time, I saw so much that I can't even remember it all! It was a great time at City Museum, probably one of my top 5 favorite TPR moments of all time! --Robb
Erik Johnson
I can't believe how much stuff I did not see when I went to the City Museum. I could be because we went at night and they really dim the lights throughout the place. The caves were pitch black scary for sure. I guess I simply need to go back. Meteornotes
City Museum is easily the most screwed up yet awesome place I have ever seen. And Robb is right, pictures/videos don't really do it justice. It's really something you have to experience for yourself. There are so many random little things everywhere I'm sure you could visit multiple times and still find new stuff. I never even made it up to the roof (though since it was like 115 degrees outside, I wasn't in a particular hurry to get there!). City Museum is amazing, and I hope to visit again some day. dt
