Once again, gorgeous photos. Man, do I miss this park; haven't been in ages (Powder Keg was still Buzzsaw Falls... yikes). Easily one of the most beautifully landscaped theme parks in the world.
"The Internet? Is that thing still around?"

Does Powder Keg have an audio system because I think I saw an audio box on the back of the train in one of the pictures.

Why do I still have a donkey title???

^ not sure about the audio system and the box.. i think i did see some onride camera's.. but my brain might not be sharp enough anymore since it's been a while..

anyway.. time for another update.

Day 5 started with a fun stop/visit to the St. Louis Gateway Arch.
I love the fact that we got the opportunity to see something "cultural" next to all the coasters and parks while doing this trip.
Coming from abroad this is one of the somewhat famous things and places to see (i guess)

A lot of people on the group took the "elevator" system up the arch to check out the view etc. having read some reports (and seen some pictures of the capsules) i decided not to (stupid me)
I think i missed out.. but it was nice to relax a little and not have to worry about crowds.. being claustrophobic and some other stuff..

After this it was time for one of the most amazing things i've ever seen in the US.. City Museum. Maybe more on that later.

But first some pictures from the stop at the Arch..
DSC_0005.JPG
hmm, i think i've seen that structure in some sort of movie before..
DSC_0012.JPG
this tower reminded me of another movie.. don't ask me why..
DSC_0016.JPG
ok, that's where we're heading..
DSC_0017.JPG
yeah.. it is pretty darn big
DSC_0025.JPG
a quick look back at a part of the city
DSC_0028.JPG
trying to be artsy.. (fail)
DSC_0033.JPG
riverboats.. riverboats
DSC_0037.JPG
looks like construction work was being done at that building.. (City Hall?)
DSC_0039.JPG
back inside (where there was AC)
DSC_0044.JPG
nice wall
DSC_0050.JPG
so that's how they did it
DSC_0056.JPG
glad that i got to see this exhibition
DSC_0058.JPG
back outside.. i had to take a look at the tiny windows at the top.. and yes.. a little cleaning would not harm..
DSC_0060.JPG
if you know where to look.. you might be able to spot those windows.. just to give you an idea..
DSC_0064.JPG
pretty sure most folks that have been here have a similar picture
DSC_0066.JPG
if only for that car... almost perfect.. a well.. next stop City Museum
I'm dutch.. not much i can do about that

Wow! I thought that thing got destroyed in Category 6 "Day of Destruction!" Or did you visit before it was destroyed. Perhaps they rebuilt it already? Hmmmmmmmmmmm? ;)

Meh!

Awesome pictures Hanno. They really show the immenseness of the arch. I can't wait to see your take on the City Museum. =)
