We found ourselves with two consecutive days off, so we planned a trip to Kentucky Kingdom and Holiday World. Unfortunately I started to get sick, so Erik asked me if I wanted to cancel the trip. I'm sure you can guess by now that we didn't cancel the trip. I decided to go to the doctor after. So we split up the trip reports. Erik took Kentucky Kingdom and I took Holiday World.
Now, I'm sure a lot of people went to Holiday World this year for the new exciting water ride. But not me. I went for my favorite wooden coaster, Raven.
This was exciting to see. Santa Claus, Indiana's first traffic light.
I'm a nerd.
There she is in all her awesomeness.
Erik trying to be Santa.
I like bananas.
Santa said Erik was on the good list. Hmm??
I needed my pizza fix.
Got it and some of Erik's.
It was yummy. But Erik was more interested in the decorations.
Let's see whats over here.
Looks like a fun car ride.
Looking at a swing ride is even better.
Spiders can look pretty too.
I still don't get the difference between a Merry-Go-Round and a Carousel.
Spoony spoony spoon spoon!
Way cooler than it sounds.
Look at these stupid adults crammed into the kiddie car.
Freedom ain't nothing but a sandwich.
Mary crying over her missed kiddie credit.
Look the new traffic light!
I love Fliers.
I could ride Chaos but not Revolution. Go figure.
This is a sign.
Water was invading my space.
A little boring.
Who wants a drink?
Don't worry, it turns off.
And then it turns back on.
Time to dry off and go to sleep.
They cleaned up Frosty. Last year he looked like he had mange.
Candy Canes...yes please.
They have 32 different flavors of candy canes.
Back to Holiday World. Round 2, Halloween.
It took Erik 15 minutes and he came back with a pretty good shot.
I'm gettin' hungry for candy corn.
I can never turn down a swing ride.
It's just so pretty.
Who you gonna call?
Yup, that's the water park entrance.
Which came first, Legend or the water park?
Making a big splash.
Thanksgiving plays songs about food.
My best photo of Voyage.
Erik's best photo of Voyage. He sucks.
I love to whirl like a turkey.
Gobble gobble gobble.
Turkey pizza actually sounds pretty good.
Let's just say Pilgrims Plunge was a nice addition to Splashin' Safari, and leave it at that.
Looks like a fun trip and definitely entertaining. Some of those shots would be EXCELLENT additions to the Park Index (wink wink nudge nudge), particularly the color shot of of the swings with the sign.
Enjoyed the water park and Rapids pics much too. Always appreciated.
Hey, I'd get a picture with Pat Koch too. Being a Nerd has it's merits.
Thanks for sharing this one. Will get to the SFKK Photo TR shortly.
Great TR. Im going in a few weeks and then another time in a few more weeks, dont ask my mom and cousin never talk when they plan stuff -.-. How was Legend and Raven running? I'm thinking about riding Legend for the first time, i never got the chance when i was their last time.
It's really not, though. Not even the elevator lift. Honestly, the whole thing is kind of dull. I think I would have preferred it if it was just an observation tower--then I could have at least taken photos of the park from the top.
