^ there were plenty of people in the park.. but i guess i walked round in a different way others did.. and many pictures were taken before most rides opened...

I'm sorry folks.. but this just took way longer then expected. I just came back from visiting Duinrell today for a couple of hours.. and realized the Thorpe Park update was still missing.

So i'll do that first and present you with some more pictures of the new Coaster named Falcon at Duinrell in the next couple of days (sorry)

Anyway.. Thorpe Park.. my first and only visit to this place was in october of 2006.. and damn.. it did rain the entire afternoon so yeah.. that wasn't the best day ever..

This time around the weather was just great and i had a pretty good day, got on all the rides i wanted to and got plenty of photo's to entertain you all.

In a previous update i've already showed some SAW pictures.. now it's time for the rest of the park

Enough said.. pictures are in chronicle order (as usual) hope you like them..

Nice update, Hanno! I think that would be a fun park to go to, with it's good combination of themeing, foliage, and good rides... Mmmm..... Intamin rides.... Mmm.......... :airtime: :airtimer:

Plopsaland looks really nice! Sort of a combination of Busch Europe and Disney like theming. One question, what does that speedboat ride do? Legoland has one of these I think. Is it like a teacup ride? You spin it?

Wow...Colossus looks like it's in real need of some TLC. Good thing Thorpe has coasters like Stealth and Saw to soften the blow of seeing this fallen giant.

I also keep hearing that X\:No Way Out is going to get a re-theme someday, but I see that's still yet to happen.

Plus, whenever I see pictures of Flying Fish, I always think about the time I read that it started its life indoors, as "Space Station Zero". I'm a sucker for Space Mountain wannabes, and I'm having a hard time finding photos of the coaster in this state. Does anyone know if any exist?
Coming to Lakemont, Del Grossos, Idlewild, Kennywood, and Waldameer, the week of July 17th.

Already happened actually, but it didn't really go to plan. Basically the budget got cut and we ended up with some new paint inside, a couple of mannequins from the old queue line (Hi Lou!) and a few different coloured lights.

There's one that I can picture, might even have been the picture on the gate map or something back in the day. I'll have a look for you :)

Wow, is Thorpe Park ever not crowded? Every report I read, there seems to be hour long lines.
