Photo TR: A Different View of Dollywood

Postby speedmetal » Mon Apr 20, 2009 9:17 pm

This is my first post. You may have seen me in some of Electerik's trip reports and you will probably see him in mine.

I warn you, this will be a little different--some might even say uninteresting--but it's what I do.
This is how I roll.
Back of the bus.
Currently my home park.
Dude loves his job.
Festival of's not that great in color, either.
Erik was jealous of this shot.
They say to use imagination in this area.
The only time you'll see me driving.
This is what happens when you don't have a greeter.
My the bushes are gray today.
This is my favorite crew at Dollywood.
See how cool gift shops can look?
Yep, it's Dolly's house.
So pretty it'll get coal in your eye.
I've lived here a year and only ridden this once.
I'm five.
Tryin' to get artsy.
Dude, they've got a game where you shoot old people!
The Amazing Flying Not Dumbos
This photo is better than the ride.
That's good soup.
Erik bought me a bag of dirt and I poured it down the drain.
I call it, "A tribute to all nations, but mostly America."
This building holds good cookies.
Where do I sign up?
What shall I type here?
I'm not really sure why there's a church in the theme park.
Dollywood has lots of cool crafty stuff.
Stupid fan. I hate that fan. Why does it have to be there? I HATE YOU, FAN!!!
I thought they were just lights. But nope, complete bats.
Ask me how many tries it took me to get this photo. Go ahead, ask.
I like this ride. And I suck at captions.
Yeah, next.
Man, school sucked then, too.
Best ride in the park!
I don't know why she looks mad. Everyone else seemed to like it.
I prefer it in the rear. I mean, this ride is better in the rear.!
I don't know why. It just feels right.
Moving on....
I like the letter E.
Look boring?
Because it is.
I like to sing-a....
This ride's theme song has my name in it!
"In the Misty, Mystery Mine!"
This part is fun...but first you have to get bashed in the head 20 times.
I wanna buy one...because I'm a girl.
I need a better shot of Thunderhead. Can you lean a little to the side?
Okay, I totally stole this photo from Erik. On the other hand, I did buy him his camera. So, really, it's only fair.
Hang on, I can fix it.
No problem. I have a season pass.

I enjoyed your photos.
Definitely shots that you don't normally see, but I really like them.
The black & white added something nice.
Thanks for sharing!

LOVED your captions! ...prefer it in the rear... HA! And anyone who can quote the greatest pre-show in the history of mankind ("mostly America") is all right by me. Welcome, and thanks for the great photos.

The best thing about TPR is the donkeys.

Fantastic job! Those are some beautiful pictures, and the lack of colour just enchances the atomsphere. I especially like the railroad nd log flume photos.

Quick question - does Dolly post a schedule of when she plans to be at the park or does she just "show up"? I'd love to see her in person when I go...

Nice pictures. Why has it taken you so long to post a photo trip report?

I've been debating what I should post. I wasn't sure how everyone would feel about my black and white photos.

Not to mention we only have one computer and Erik doesn't share well. :)
