Photo TR - Holiday Park

Postby hansrubens » Mon Jul 28, 2008 12:10 pm

Hi everyone,

It was time to hit the Geforce again. :b

We stayed on an awesome campground in Bad Durckheim.
Since there were summernights in Holiday Park and the park was open from 9 am till midnight we decided to rent some bikes so we all could drink. :lmao:

But it was really a stupid idea, it took us more than 2 hours (30 kms) to get to Holiday Park, and we had to go back in the pitch dark. Well we survived but we won't do that ever again.

Let's get back to Holiday Park. It wasn't too crowdy and there was only a 15 minutes wait at the Geforce during the whole day.

The Geforce was running like hell, well at least it did in the late afternoon. There were two times when I hardly noticed the trims. In the morning and evening you could feel the brakes but none of the rides I did felt the same.

We did the rest of the rides in the afternoon and at night we drunk some beer and ride the Geforce over and over again.

On to the pics.

So here we are heading for Bad Durckheim

So we rented some bikes.
IMG_0001.jpg
Ah were there. I didn't take any pictures on our horror bike trip.
IMG_0001_2.jpg
Let's take of with some awesome Geforce pics. Wow that drop is insane.
IMG_0001_1.jpg
Even that cloud got some airtime.
IMG_0001_4.jpg
Were are all those hands.
IMG_0001_5.jpg
Thats more like it.
IMG_0001.jpg
I had to this one on my own. My mates chickened out.
IMG_0001.jpg
The drop tower is themed differently every year - 2008 Olympics.

Donnerfluss cause I know "TheRapidsNerd" love those pics.

IMG_0001_2.jpg
You can really get wet on this one.
IMG_0001_1.jpg
At least we did.
IMG_0001_3.jpg
But it was so hot on that day that we dried in about 5 minutes.
IMG_0001_1.jpg
Yeah the Super Wirbel.
IMG_0001.jpg
They sprayed water on the track. I think it was to cool down the wheels or the brakes.
IMG_0001_2.jpg
Wow it seems like everybody is having a good time.
IMG_0001_2.jpg
We are really looking cool.
IMG_0001.jpg
Many people with their hands up. Thats the way we like it.
IMG_0001_11.jpg
Overbanked turn.
IMG_0001_6.jpg
The two girls upfront were so happy that I took this picture.
IMG_0001_10.jpg
One of a kind drop.
IMG_0001.jpg
There never is a line for this great darkride.
IMG_0001_1.jpg
Nicely themed.
IMG_0001_2.jpg
We all could fit in one car.
IMG_0001_3.jpg
It's all about knights and beating and raping wives.
IMG_0001_4.jpg
Some slavery too.
IMG_0001_5.jpg
Beat her!!
IMG_0001_6.jpg
I'm gonna kill you.
IMG_0001_7.jpg
Sorry Robb. It's censored.
IMG_0001_8.jpg
After the raping and beating. They start a party.
IMG_0001_9.jpg
The pet dragon of the castle.
IMG_0001_5.jpg
Now it's time to get some beer.
IMG_0001_3.jpg
We deserved it after that awful bike trip.
IMG_0001_1.jpg
We tried to get on the logflume but it broke down two times when we were in line.
IMG_0001_2.jpg
Cause of a thunderstorm passing by they stopped it.
IMG_0001_3.jpg
But that couldn't stop these people of getting in this boat. They just jumped in at this point.
IMG_0001_4.jpg
Cause of the summernights there were several shows and music throughout the park.
IMG_0001_8.jpg
On the Geforce area there was a DJ.
IMG_0001_9.jpg
with some hot babes.
IMG_0001_7.jpg
For one euro you could spin the wheel. There were only two chances of getting a price. We watched it for half an hour but nobody did win.
IMG_0001_7.jpg
Enjoying ejector air.
IMG_0001_13.jpg
Waiting for front row. Most of the times we rode it in the back.
IMG_0001_14.jpg
Me on the front during the first drop.
IMG_0001_15.jpg
This picture is really about the carousel.
IMG_0001_16.jpg
It's getting dark already.
IMG_0001_20.jpg
Already closed here. Notice the rope.
IMG_0001_18.jpg
Flying by.
IMG_0001_19.jpg
We were really happy they let us on the last two rides of the day. Thank you Holiday Park.

Good TR Hans.

You can really get wet on this one.

Yes indeed. To European waterride standards that ride can be extremely wet. I got out soaked once I remember.

So you had to still had to do 30 kms by bike at midnight ? :omg:

Well the weather was good but 30 km was a bit too much. We also took a wrong turn so it could have been 7 km shorter.

BTW were are your trip reports or haven't you been to any park lately.

It was hot like around 30 degrees celsius/86 fahrenheit.

One time when we were in line for the Expedition Geforce it made a terrible metal scraping sound when entering the lift hill and after that they started to put water on the Pulley/cable.
