Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Will this thing really be open by opening day? It dosen't look so. We just got another blast of cold air and snow so this may halt construstion for a few days.

I bet since they worked through the winter the bad weather will be nothing. I got the snow on my way home from Chicago tonight.

It snowed all night here , so no testing now. Also new blog entry about the lights

Well, Cedar Fair can't control everything it's employees and the people who have been contracted to build the ride take video of, especially on days when construction is halted, besides with all of the movies, and povs already out, they are probably more relaxed about it.

That's what I was wondering. I found this on another forum so thought I'd share the link. My guess is that Cedar Fair will have it removed, however, as soon as they find out that whoever leaked it.

Why would they remove it? THe video dosen't show anything we haven't already seen.

It was just two vidoes of someone onsite recording the station and the queve up to the station.

I wish I could've seen that. I'm still a bit confused as to how the queue will work.

^From my understanding the entrance and exit will be on the same side. There will be a "loose article" bin on the opposite side. . I hope I am right, but can someone correct me if I'm wrong.

If so then that could lengthen dispatch times, but what's the reason for this then?

^^I could be wrong but i thought you entered on one side (left if on the train) and leave on the opposite side (right side if on the train). At least i think that's what is in the animation.

I have a question for you. Since Maverick will load and unload on the same platform, will the ride have bins to leave your belongings in like the other rides, or will the park require all loose articles be left in lockers? Thanks!

There will be storage bins on the loading platform for your loose articles.

Right, same platform, they mean that its not going to be like Millennium or Dragster where you load/unload on different platforms. The person just wanted to know if you would have to rent a locker or not when you ride. At least that's what i got from that.

Coming over that part of the track you would be seeing the front of the train, and that definitely doesn't look like it. I think it's a cherry picker of some sort.

I have now figured that out and I feel like a real idiot.

This coaster will be damn sweet.

I have to fly to Sandusky next summer.
