For a Christmas present, my parents surprised my brother and I with a trip to Las Vegas. We went last Saturday, Feb 24 and got back late on Tues, Feb 27.
It was so much fun and I already want to plan another trip out. I got up to 52 coaster credits. And I got to meet two of my heroes. But more about that later.
All pics taken by me and my brother Brandon.
On To the Pics:
Me in the airport at 6 am. Who's brilliant idea was it to leave at 7?
Flying over snow. This was exciting for a native Floridian who's never seen such a thing!
The Grand Canyon is impressive even from the air!
We stayed at the Parisian Hotel and Casino. They had a replica of the Eiffel Tower out front.
Our hotel from the Eiffel Tower.
The first night we went to the old strip, Freemont Street. The cowboy greeted us!
We also caught two showings of the Freemont Street experience.
It was really spectacular!
The sign in the bathtub at out hotel. It says "Tub water fill does not shut off automatically"
The next day, we started off at the Stratosphere.
There is an incredible view from up there.
You could see the whole layout of Speed: The Ride too.
They also had some rides that I would never get on in a million years. Just going up on the Stratosphere was an achievement for me!
The woman in the front yelled "I changed my mind" at this point.
The ride continues to drop even further down!
I wasn't even willing to try the Big Shot.
My 50th credit (Speed: The Ride) and the Stratosphere in the background.
The loop.....through the trees!
The vertical loop and a plane flying overhead. I didn't realize the plane was there until after i got home.
Through the tunnel!
The tower from the taxi stand
Our next stop was the Adventuredome at Circus Circus. Everything was very pink!
Our first ride was the Sling Shot. A weird combination space shot and drop ride. It hurt.
And credit number 51...Canyon Blaster! It was really fun actually. We rode twice.
The vertical loop goodness!
Corkscrew over the mini golf course.
Into the dark cave portion.
The Adventuredome credit I couldn't get, Miner Mike. :(
That night we saw the awesome Cirque du Soleli show, The Beatles Love. I highly recommend it!
The next day I went for credit number 52, the coaster formerly known as Manhattan Express. It is the one coaster I wouldnt ride again.
The front of New York New York.
New York New York from the Eiffel Tower. Most of the coaster is visible.
Monday night was the highlight of the Vegas trip for me. Seeing Penn & Teller!!
After the show, we got to meet them and get autographs. This is me super excited to be meeting Teller.
And just as insanely happy to be meeting the 6'6" Penn.
What a million dollars looks like! It was the prize for winning a poker tournament.
And I will end this TR with the Pussycat Dolls game table that was at Caesar's Palace!
I love Las Vegas, our family usually takes a trip out there at least three times a year. The best hotels to stay at are Bellagio and The Venetian. Everything at the Wynn is too overpriced.
Wow! This was really cool! You showed more of the "Little things" in Vegas. Besides just the coasters. And I totally LOVE Penn & Teller, espceially thier show "Bullshit". Anywho, thanks for the awesome little Photo TR!
I had to comment because of the Penn and Teller pictures. Bullshit is one of my favorite shows, and I always download the podcast version of Penn's radio show. Too bad they ended it.

Thanks! That is what I was trying for. I'm very happy with the way the photos turned out and how this TR did also. And meeting Penn & Teller was like the highlight of my life actually. I was watching Bullshit earlier today too. And season five starts March 22. I can't wait.

Bullshit! can be really good, but sometimes it's not. It's always entertaining, but I think some of the episodes are noticibly weaker than others. Their episode about college was poorly argued. They interviewed the craziest tenured professor they could find, and then insinuated that he represents the overall collegiate system. Talk about bullshit. Then they admitted at the end of the program that college can be necessary.
It's a good show overall. I just wish they would present stronger cases in some of the episodes.
