Weather forecast looks clear for this weekend. There's a couple bring a friend days this weekend so it may be decently crowded between that and the, as of now, very nice weather.

The most recent track I'm looking at (released at noon eastern) shows it off the coast of Florida on Monday, with the potential track area barely in Georgia.

I think you should be fine. Depending on how much lead time you need to adjust plans, keep up-to-date and be ready to adjust up to your deadline.

If you're willing to drive to Dollywood on Sunday, why don't you instead swap SFOG and Carowinds (SFOG on Saturday, Carowinds on Sunday)?

I like this idea, as carowinds will probably be less likely impacted on Sunday. Guess I’ll cancel my hotels and see what the model is predicting when we take off Friday!

Are you talking about Carowinds on 9-7 or 9-8? It might interest you there's an ACE event on the 7th with ERT and behind the scene tours on CS and Fury.

Two Villainous New Thrill Rides Coming to Six Flags Over Georgia in 2020

New Attractions Expand Gotham City Section to Seven Spectacular Rides

AUSTELL, GA. — August 29, 2019 — Six Flags Over Georgia—the Thrill Capital of the South—in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC, announces two, new innovative ride experiences for the 2020 season. Catwoman Whip and Poison Ivy Toxic Twister will be the latest additions to the park’s impressive lineup of ultimate heart-pumping thrills for guests of all ages. The two exciting attractions, new theming and revamped food and shopping locations will debut in the new Gotham City section next year.

“Every year, Six Flags creates innovative, new ride experiences for thrill-seekers of all ages,” said Park President Dale Kaetzel. “Catwoman Whip and Poison Ivy Toxic Twister will be sensational new additions to our ride arsenal that features the biggest and best variety of rides in the region.”

Guests will soar seven stories high as they prepare for an adrenaline-charged flight on Catwoman Whip, featuring:
• A super-sized wheel spinning horizontally, as a giant arm lifts and tilts the wheel to a vertical position;
• High-speed rotations spin round and round, reaching heights of 67 feet in the air; and
• An exhilarating flight in 24 open-air seats with feet dangling below.

• A giant center rotating arm rotates riders in pods as they experience centrifugal force;
• Pods spin counter clockwise, while the ride turns in the opposite direction; and
• Riders in groups of three, all connected in 12 clusters, twist and churn at high speeds.

Six Flags White Water
Six Flags White Water Atlanta, the Southeast’s Largest Waterpark, will debut Python Plunge, a striking five-story water slide with multiple swirling discs and adrenaline-pumping drops. The massive water slide features two-person rafts that slither along a 500-foot course and careen around giant saucer-shaped turns before sending guests plunging into the pool below.

Yeah, compared to what many (myself included) thought SFOG was getting, it's a little underwhelming. But I love what they're doing with that Gotham City area back there, and while Scramblers aren't really my thing anymore, those new Endeavors look awesome! Also, note that there are other "exciting announcements" coming soon. Probably won't be much, but this park already looks to be one of the best in the chain. I really hope to finally make it out here next year!
