Part 1: The rest will come tonight when I get home from work!

Yesterday, Carnage was going to come down for some rides on the Silver Comet and Crazy Mouse, since he had never been to Martin's Fantasy Island. We were going to take advantage of the cheap 5 pm admission. However, when Paul got to the park, it was closed due to inclement weather. Apparently sunny and 65 degrees was not good enough for Marty! Hehe. Anyway, we were thinking about going to Marineland, but they don't have cheap evening admission. So like any respectable credit whore would do, we decided to take a little road trip to Seabreeze in Rochester, which ended up being about a 90 minute drive.

The park was very small and "ghetto", but their coasters were very well maintained, and I had an enjoyable time. This is definitely not a park I could spend a whole day at; however, the credit whoring was easy and their coasters are pretty fun, so I will probably go back there at some point in the future.

We brought our cameras on the rides, after specifically asking the Jack Rabbit ride op "Can we bring our cameras on the ride?" After that, whenever we brought our cameras on, we made sure they were in plain view and obviously in our hands when the ops were checking our restraints. So don't go yelling at us for breaking any rules.

This was my first spinning coaster, and I really liked it!

This was the only time we saw the ride operating when we were there!

There's Bear Trax, which had a ride op that wouldn't let us ride.

Jack Rabbit is a fun little ride with a cool tunnel. In the front seat there is a little bit of gentle air to be had.

The very first ride was the only time the train would be full.

First credit of the season!! YES!

This was my first flyer experience. It was pretty tame and slow.

Cute park entrance.

Paul takes forever to do stuff. At PCW it was the soda machine; at Seabreeze, it was getting his camera ready.

Woot! We're here! And I see flyers! I'm excited

The helpful signs made sure we wouldn't get lost. However, there was one sign that pointed straight and to the left at the same time that sort of confused us.

On the way, we passed the exit for Darien Lake.

All I could think of while pulling into MFIs parking lot was "PArks closed, didn't the moose out front tell you?".

I watched car after car of confused people pull into the lot only to turn around once confirming that no one was in site.

One lady even pulled up and asked me when the park closed. After I responded with "I don't know, I just got here", she said "To work??". Uhh, no I do not work here.

Trip worked out well in the end though, even though I made it home close to 1AM. I'll try and post stuff tonight, though the pics are probably close tot he same Nicole has.

When I asked the Jackrabbit op if we could take cameras on the rides he just looked at me like I was crazy for asking.

Sorry, the name bobsleds is misleading.

It's a steel coaster running small boblsed type cars. It's built using the supports of some old wooden roller coaster.

The name and the cars are the only things that are bobsled. It's not a boblsed type coaster.

AGain, it's a weird credit.

If you like spinning coasters you are going to love the Wild Mouse at South Pier!

You being serious? I haven't been on it but its no different to any other Reverchon Mouse, there would be more of them on the UK trip but Pleasurewood Hills removed theirs and the one Lightwater Valley maybe closed temporarly, I dunno.

Any nice pics, I must say Nicola, you have one hell of a smile.

No idea really, I'm not familiar with the area.

Are you actually considering flying into Rochester just to go to Seabreeze??

From what I've seen of that city I don't think I'd want to fly in there, and especially not just for a few credits.

Now if you were just passing through on the way to something else, that would make a whole lot more sense.

Otherwise you might be the most dedicated credit whore ever.

Awww, denied your kiddie credit...how sad!!!! (but not pathetic!)

Do they still have the bobsled coaster? I remember thinking that was fun! I'm sure the mouse is WAY better than Quantum Loop!!!

Yup, I took lots of pictures of Bobsleds. I didn't have very much time this morning to post pictures, I'll post the rest when I get home from work. I just came home to let the puppy outside.

^ It's not even a half day credit run. 20 minutes tops if you just wanted the coaster credits. We had like 2 hours worth of practical ERT.

The only thing I can figure of MFI is that they saw the forcast early and decided to pre-close it. Or they closed for some other non-related reason and just used that sign.

Still doesn't make any sense though.

That model of spinning coaster is the same one I rode at Waldameer and it was pretty flippin' fun.

Seabreeze looks like a not bad park. I love these little tiny family run parks because they are usually great fun with their old school feel to them.

Part 2

We were in the park for a total of 2.5 hours, and managed to ride Whirlwind and Jack Rabbit about 10 times each, Bobsleds twice, as well as pretty much every ride in the park.

On with the pictures!

DSCN4395.jpg.1e1dc9a22af80d88e0d330c0eaa1fa64.jpg

Smelly, dusty, forceless indoor scrambler. The soundtrack sounded like Nightwish though, so I was happy

DSCN4394.jpg.cce62ab0168a4d3d79b5d019e9159688.jpg

They had teacups just like at Canobie except with no roof and uglier

DSCN4392.jpg.7d2ed8859f32a36fcdef2f5f6ea273fd.jpg

The yo-yo was a lot of fun, and the ride op was really nice. After this, we encountered some chick who was yelling to her friends about her boyfriend's wife and kids. She had to be told to STFU by park security. lol. I love Rochester

DSCN4391.jpg.0f878cb223d9030975f51ed732350bbd.jpg

Splash! OK, a little too cold to ride this.

DSCN4389.jpg.8aab1efe1f6d4bbde4ec0c3c3961a99b.jpg

Seabreeze has a really weird log flume. It rides around in a rectangle around a concrete wall, then through a tunnel

DSCN4398.jpg.4682753f6f421cc5088a9248b1fb362e.jpg

Our first ride left me baffled. I wasn't quite sure if I liked it or not, so I HAD to ride it a second time. After the second ride, I concluded, yes, I <3 Bobsleds.

DSCN4396.jpg.5d2b8fb5143d29efb22afa6a975e17c2.jpg

It now has steel tubular track.

DSCN4377.jpg.7f73207ff221f618b909d144f474b9db.jpg

Bobsleds was originally a kiddie terrain woodie.

Whirlwind from Bobsleds as seen through the TREES!

DSCN4375.jpg.e44e3e567c10c452ebd42f1f4f285179.jpg

Lots of fun dippy pre-lift goodness

DSCN4374.jpg.e6c1e1672b413dfd77ecddfc9ddf5b64.jpg

No air gate, and no queue either!

DSCN4373.jpg.319140510b08abe8dc9a5b42b47dbec8.jpg

I don't quite feel "responsible" enough to ride!

Bobsleds: The most messed up coaster EVER

The first drop is awesome.

But this was the best part: 90 DEGREES! Yes, the last couple times we rode, we actually yelled "90 DEGREES!" at this point! We are hard core TPR members.

Whirlwind has lots of twisty goodness.

Part 3

We had some ERT on Jack Rabbit and Whirlwind! Paul got some awesome POV-ness of all three coasters, as well as the indoor scrambler. I wonder how that footage turned out.

DSCN4415.jpg.cee8023bfa6c26d3fae29eba8aa502ed.jpg

Paul also takes forever to pump gas!!! Just kidding, Paul! Well, this concludes my photo TR, hope you liked it.

DSCN4414.jpg.7a5416eb2cf72b1caabe8cdaf886baf2.jpg

OK, one more time... 90 DEGREES!! :p

DSCN4411.jpg.336b4944874f82d0337075a22d92cb00.jpg

By the way, Paul, I was right, these be Morgan trains

DSCN4408.jpg.b9251b3c8626298af9e171267a802fe6.jpg

Check out that empty train!

DSCN4386.jpg.cff0de852dff9a43dfc8c234ce962417.jpg

Wheee!

DSCN4383.jpg.6bb740a35f550ddeacc8cce8351677bb.jpg

Yeah lift hill!

DSCN4381.jpg.f8a4d21b9d28f584f17fdc937f91db32.jpg

We rode in the front for most of our ERT. It gave a smoother ride and better airtime than the back.

DSCN4380.jpg.5e7276baaefef2557f07ba2e025ad7dd.jpg

Wow, look at the huge lines for Jack Rabbit. No air gates here either!

lol at the last pic.

I wish it had pumped quicker. That was a pretty sketchy corner that we decided to get gas at. Good thing we got the hell out of there as soon as the gas was in.

coasterbilly I'd guess maybe 45 minutes from SFDL?? Maybe less. It was like an 1.5 hour drive for us, and SFDL was maybe at the halfway point.

I'll try and get that POV footage up tonight. I'm really curious as to how it turned out as well.

lol I didn't take THAT long.

Then again, considering how long it took us to ride everything that short delay probably cost us 20 rides.

Just finished watching the video. Quite craptacular if I don't say so myself. I'll try and post the decent parts when I get a chance.
