With the intention of coming back to the park at least once before the regular season ends (August 20 according to the park map) I’m curious, how are crowds this time of year? Especially weekends?

Was yesterday’s packed parking lots and busy park with long lines an outlier or is that common for this park?

Per Kennywood’s Facebook page, Steel Curtain will be down for maintenance the rest of the weekend. The comments as usual are comedy gold...

Per Kennywood FB: Steel Curtain is not expected to open today (August 5).

I am taking a four day weekend with a plan to be at Kennywood next Monday. Hope the issues are sorted by then.

^ I'd like to think they're close since they're going day by day rather than listing a ride as closed indefinitely like they did for Sky Rocket.

Heading there for the first time on Friday and Saturday. Wondering where to get cheap tickets when I get to Pittsburgh? What are some of the best places to eat near the park.

I believe Giant had cheap tickets in the past.

I like the local staple, Primanti's.

"Giant Eagle" is the grocery store that sells slightly discounted tickets, while supplies last. There's one right up the hill from the park.
