LEGOLAND Florida has announced that their third hotel will be the Pirate Island Hotel!
Ahoy mateys! LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is proud to announce its newest LEGO® pirate-themed accommodation, Pirate Island Hotel, opening in spring 2020.
Connected to the existing LEGOLAND® Hotel and next to beautiful Lake Eloise, Pirate Island will be the third on-site accommodation at LEGOLAND Florida Resort. Located a mere 130 kid steps away from the main entrance to the theme park, the Hotel will feature 150 fun-filled rooms, an expansive pool and pool deck, hundreds of LEGO models and numerous character experiences.
“We’re really excited to offer a brand new family-friendly experience and continue our park's expansion with a third on-site hotel accommodation,” said LEGOLAND Florida Resort General Manager Rex Jackson. “LEGOLAND Florida Resort is committed to putting a smile on every child who walks through the door and Pirate Island Hotel will certainly help us achieve that goal."
The new five-story hotel will also house a pirate-themed restaurant, an entertainment area for kid-friendly nightly programming, LEGO play pits and a lobby bar for adult buccaneers. Also, with every hotel reservation, guests will enjoy a free family-style breakfast for ye’ entire crew.
Known as the theme park built for kids, LEGOLAND Florida’s Pirate Island Hotel will provide even more incentive to stay and play on multiple-day visits with an array of LEGO character interactions, a heated pool and a pirate ship in front of the hotel for photo opportunities.
Inside the rooms, kids can fully experience the LEGO pirate life as they explore their separate side of the room complete with their own TV, daily in-room LEGO treasure chests, LEGO pirate décor, treasure map headboards and boat-shaped bunkbeds in the suites among many more surprises.
“Pirate Island Hotel will offer a completely unique guest experience for swashbucklers of all ages,” said LEGOLAND Florida Resort Hotels Director Kevin Carr. “Pirates have a long history tied to the state of Florida and we look forward to providing memorable experiences to our future guests with an entertaining, memorable and fun hotel. Whether it’s interacting with life-size LEGO characters in the lobby, uncovering LEGO bounty at the end of an in-room treasure hunt or soaking up the sun in our heated pool, Pirate Island Hotel will be the perfect place for families to make long-lasting memories.”
While planning for a new property, LEGOLAND Florida Resort relied on its fans to help develop an exciting theme. With an overabundance of options to choose from, LEGOLAND fans spoke loud and clear that LEGO Pirate was the preferred choice.
“Due to the success of our existing accommodations, we realized a third hotel was needed to keep up with our high consumer demand. Veteran guests and excited newcomers alike shared their opinions and LEGO Pirate was the overwhelming favorite,” said Carr.
Pirate Island will be a key addition to LEGOLAND Florida Resort’s continued park expansion, which also includes THE LEGO® MOVIE™ WORLD opening in spring 2019 and a new miniature golf course for hotel guests opening in summer 2019.

Sorry for the dumb question but I am having trouble figuring out the fast track at Legoland. Is the 10 dollar option one ride and thats it? Is so then the 30 dollar option do I get to choose the 3 rides or is it those 3 rides already selected? Thanks in advance
After riding Lightning Run I can not understand why parks are not lining up to buy some Hyper GTX models. That little ride rocks
I wish Legoland Florida had the lesser Fast Track options when I was there. The only option when I went in 2017 was the unlimited band.
It appears the 3 ride skip pass is only good for those 3 rides based on the description, but those are three I think you would want to skip. Outside of the Dragon Coaster, the two dark rides had the two longest waits during my visit (30-45 minutes).

THE LEGO® MOVIE™ WORLD will officially open at the LEGOLAND® Florida Resort on March 27th, 2019!
Opening March 27, LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is taking guests from the theater to the theme park with the launch of THE LEGO® MOVIE™ WORLD. Created in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, this impressive expansion features three new rides and numerous attractions, all inspired by the characters and themes of the worldwide blockbuster THE LEGO® MOVIE™ and the exciting new big-screen animated adventure sequel THE LEGO® MOVIE™ 2: The Second Part.
The creative masterminds from Merlin Magic Making, the global creative and delivery division of parent company Merlin Entertainments Group, re-created Bricksburg with its lovable characters, creative eating spaces and authentic city scape where guests can experience Emmet’s Super Suite.
“THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD is our largest addition to date and will provide guests around the world with the ultimate movie-to-theme park experience,” said Keith Carr, project director of Merlin Magic Making. “The park just screams fun everywhere you look; kids and families alike can interact with various characters, enjoy ride technology that’s the first of its kind and dine on tasty tacos at Taco Tuesday Everyday. Not to mention, we have a spaceship playground!”
While the Park’s theming and immersion of THE LEGO MOVIE universe will captivate guests of all ages, the three brand-new rides stay true to LEGOLAND Florida’s kid-friendly experience.
“The rides truly capture the whimsical fun and quirky nature of the popular LEGO movies,” said Rex Jackson, general manager of LEGOLAND Florida Resort. “The Masters of Flight ride will be iconic to our park, Unikitty’s ride sings and spins with her ever-changing emotions and the Battle of Bricksburg is themed around huge LEGO DUPLO® aliens. With great partners in Warner Bros. we’ve developed a park that will bring a lot of smiles to children and their families. We’re thrilled to be the only location for fans to experience THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD.”
THE LEGO MOVIE Masters of Flight takes guests on a suspended ride aboard Emmet’s Triple Decker Couch surrounded by a full-dome virtual screen, giving the sensational feeling of flying through a world created completely from LEGO® bricks. The attraction is the first in the world at a major theme park that embeds a 180-degree turn in the ride experience. The ride animation will feature a humorous and magical adventure as guests soar through Cloud Cuckoo Land, dive to Middle Zealand and splash down on the waters of Pirate’s Cove.
Unikitty’s Disco Drop takes guests through a rainbow-filled journey based on Unikitty and her many moods. Once on the ride, guests will swoop to the tiptop of Cloud Cuckoo Land, then drop, spin and bounce back down to earth, creating a thrilling and frenzied experience.
At Battle of Bricksburg, the only water ride in THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD, riders are challenged to stop DUPLO aliens from invading and stealing LEGO bricks by spraying water at targets from their boats. The riders aren’t the only ones who can enjoy playing in the water, outside of the ride will be water cannons for guests to spray and help the riders save the day.
THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD will also feature Taco Tuesday Everyday eatery, The Awesome Shop, filled with take-home collectables and a space-themed playground structure inspired by Benny’s spaceship which will include special photo opportunities and character interactions.
Also make sure you do a trip through Cypress Gardens and do the Pirates Ski Show. Both are not-to-miss bits of historic Florida. And if they are playing the Lego Movie 4D on the day you go, it's hilarious and worth seeing. Finally, APPLE FRIES if you're into that sort of thing.
