p-sychiatrist
Here are some pics I took of Soarin' construction I took today! You can see how far along the facade has come. The full building is massive and takes up so much space, it's almost sad that this epic project is just going to be another Soarin'! Peep the 2 Anna's! p-sychiatrist
OMG the little ghost driver and ghost dog... SO FREAKING CUTE! And yes, I would love to see some of the costumes people are wearing. I love seeing what people have crafted! It's too cute!! Kawaii overload!! ^^So cool, and please do post costume photos! We're already planning ours for next year as I know we need to step up to seem at all respectable! Honestly some of the cosplayers look better than the cast members themselves!! But all costumes are welcome so don't worry about your skill level and just have fun!! Here are a few of my favorites: Me, Chandu, Chandu, and Chandu <3 We taught all the princesses how to dab (Jasmine hits it so hard!) Asshim from "The Magic Lamp Theater" show at DisneySea. I love the costumes from the attractions most of all! Mermaid Lagoon is where all the Ariels hang out! Luke Skywalker taking a break from his trainig in Dagobah to visit Disneyland! But sometimes they want to be part of our world and stay at hotels! The detail on this dress was unbelievable!! So gorgeous!!

Nrthwnd
That Princesses (and others) Group shot above, is awesome! All the costumes you took photos of, incl.your cute Chandu pair, look great! Some people don't need costumes for Tokyo Disney's Halloween. And others don't need Halloween to wear costumes, sooner. This one one just had to carry around all her Duffys with her. V p.s. I'm a fairly old fart, so ....what the heck is "to dab"...? She's covered with a Sloth of Duffys! (I looked that up, too) And some Princesses just need a bit of a lift, to get around. Nrthwnd
http://www.tdrexplorer.com just posted a whole bunch of new construction photos of the new stuff being created and expanded at the Tokyo Disney Resort. Thank you to them for all the great photos posted! Construction continues throughout Tokyo Disney Resort as new attractions, lands, and hotel slowly become reality. Since our last update over the summer, there’s been a lot of progress. Most of the construction doesn’t affect your time at the Resort, except the work on the ticket gates. If you’re visiting the Parks this month, don’t forget the Halloween event is on until October 31, 2018. Shortly after, we’ll see the start of the Christmas event (which is one of my favourite times of the year to visit). Here are a few of the photos... Performance theatre and Beauty/Beast's castle turrets, going up behind Toontown. Large performance theatre in the centre; smaller (but still BIG) Beauty/Beast show bldg. on the right. The Magic Springs Hotel (probably) being built here at TDS, beside the Bayside monorail Station. (o: New TDL Ticket Gates construction.
p-sychiatrist
Holy COW, that Snow White!!! That is amazing! She was probably my favorite cosplayer, my picture does not do her justice!! That Princesses (and others) Group shot above, is awesome! All the costumes you took photos of, incl.your cute Chandu pair, look great! p.s. I'm a fairly old fart, so ....what the heck is "to dab"...? Haha "dab" is the dance move that we're doing with our arms pointed up and to the side, don't worry most Japanese people don't know it either! And that Chandu girl made my life complete!! Here are some more pics! Beauty and the Beast! Also I totally convinced my friend to buy her own Chandu! During Halloween, Shaban and Asshim take over the Casbah Food Court to put on a hilarious magic show. I wasn't able to take a video but here's Chandu enjoying the show with some delicious vegetable curry! Elsa and Anna from the Frozen Christmas Special. The pattern at the bottom of Anna's dress matches the film costume EXACTLY. More dabbing!!

Nrthwnd
Tokyo Disney Sea is bringing back a park fave for their Holiday Season, on now. A Taste of Christmas is like a mini very mini EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, but only on this one pier there...Pier 33. A favourite rest stop for myself, during past visits to TDS. Like before it will be offering festive drinks (alcohol and non-) and snacks to enjoy the season. But I had to smile when I saw this PR photo of it's set up, posted by http://www.tdrexplorer.com (thank you!). It's obviously a total photo-shop of the pier, with the giveaway being that "barrel" in front. It started me looking everywhere else in the photo. It was all stuck on, that way. I do hope the real thing, now open, looks as good as this "artist conception" does. That barrel looks like it's a sticker! It does! Nrthwnd
From the "And now I realize" Dept... I was poking around there and here, and just discovered that Osaka has been awarded the rights of holding a World's Fair there....in 2025. The same year that Tokyo Disney will (hopefully) have all it's major projects and attractions finished, and opened and running, by. Now I realize this isn't "The Main Reason" for Tokyo Disney to add all these new attractions, lands, and hotels when they are. But it's like they were hedging their bets for 2025. Nonetheless, Osaka won the rights, and Disney should get HUGE benefits, from their World EXPO. And Universal Osaka, too. Japan elected host country of World Expo 2025 - Nov.23 2018 Member States of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) today elected Japan as host country of World Expo 2025. After two rounds of voting during the BIE’s 164th General Assembly in Paris, a majority of Member States voted for Japan’s project to organise World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Kansai under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” between 3 May and 3 November 2025. So, Beauty and The Beast "Land" plus Big Hero 6 (and the popcorn place), and Soaring will be ready for the 2020 Olympics. The rest of the Disney Resort will/should be all ready for the world, in 2025, for Japan's World EXPO. So for now, they got two new hotels in the works! Anyone planning that far in advance? Japan's reaction to the selection. But - no, no, not Hello Kitty as it's mascot? How dare Universal!

Nrthwnd
^ Definitely gone, lol. I wonder if they've also removed all the statuary in the area by now, or if some is still around. KBrylczyk
I dunno, Osaka isn't exactly around the corner from Tokyo. If a bunch of nerds like us were planning a Japan trip for the World EXPO I mean, yeah, duh, of course we'd jump on the Shinkansen for a couple hours. Mostly, though, it'll be the city of Osaka reaping the benefits of this.
Nrthwnd
^ And believe me, there are World's Fair fanbois out there, too. I used to know a few of them, who would travel the world, attending world's fairs, no matter where they were held. That said, I'm sure knowing Tokyo Disney is only a couple of hours' Bullet Train time from Osaka... they'll show up.

The new facilities include a major attraction, an all-weather live entertainment theater, a restaurant and shops. This expansion will occupy an area of about 47,000 m2 overlapping Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Toontown—three of the seven themed lands in the Park. The total investment for this expansion is about 75 billion Japanese yen. Opening in Fantasyland will be a new area themed to the Disney film Beauty andthe Beast. It will feature Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, a major attraction within Beauty and the Beast Castle, which towers about 30 meters above the surroundings. Guests will board ride vehicles that dance in rhythm to the animated film’s well-known music and follow Belle on a romantic musical adventure. With Village Shoppes and La Taverne de Gaston, Guests will feel like they have entered the world of the film as they enjoy the ambience of Belle’s village. Also opening in the new area will be Fantasyland Forest Theatre, the first full-scale indoor theater for live entertainment at Tokyo Disneyland. Signature Disney entertainment unique to Tokyo Disneyland and featuring the Disney Friends will be presented in this storybook theater environment. Themed to the Disney film Big Hero 6, The Happy Ride with Baymax attraction will open in Tomorrowland. Guests will join their own personal healthcare companion for an exciting musical “whip ride” that swings them unpredictably round and round. Also, a shop themed to outer space, The Big Pop, will offer Guests popcorn in multiple flavors that can be purchased together with popcorn buckets. In Toontown, Minnie’s Style Studio will be the first Disney Character greeting facility in Tokyo Disneyland where Guests can meet Minnie Mouse in person. Dressed in some of her own creations, “fashion designer” Minnie will greet and take pictures with Guests. Nrthwnd
^ that video! What else can I say? And the "ride dishes" look awesome! Actually, they weren't kidding at the # per dish/vehicle, in earlier art! Thanks for posting all of this, Adam! At first look, I felt these ride vehicles were holding a wee too many peeps in them. Glad I was wrong! They're like little mini-theatre-balconies! (o:
