Manic Monte
On Twisted Colossus : "It needs more corkscrews and loops. This looks extremely boring". Just read this on Facebook. Comeagain?
I'm curious about how apocalypse was being spelt as it's impossible to tell now. lol It's the vile nickname that triggers it.

ftdude16
Went to The Mountain today, it was absolutely empty. Twisted Colossus had a big ol' crane extended to the top of the lift with a few guys doing something up there. Looks like it's coming along nicely. And about that comment on Facebook of Twisted Colossus looking boring and needing more inversions, the GP can say the most stupid things. It really is hilarious. I've been wondering how popular Twisted Colossus will end up being to the public once it opens and if people will flock to it instead of X2 or Full Throttle right when the park opens. It'll be very interesting to see. I rode Apocalypse today and it was not doing its best. It didn't exactly hurt but it shook my brain up and my experience was very similar to that of Roar at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, which I rode fairly recently. ioio
were all the rides open? I really do hope everyone runs to TC once it's open (and for years to come). The crowd needs to be divided up. Most people run towards X2 and Tatsu.... now people have a good reason to run RIGHT towards TC (and to a lesser extent Goliath/Yolo).
coasterlvr
is X2 really that popular? i always thought that the long lines were just because of it's slow loading dispatch. i haven't ridden it in a couple years.
colossus_queen
now about that last comment about A P O C A L Y P S E.....(I just happen to like that coaster's nickname, btw), never mind.....umm, nice weather were having lately! **ducks under table to avoid the people about to attack me just because I said a "no-no"**

glouthan
The lines on that ride get long, but if you hit the sweet spot around 3:00, the line is only in the station. (At least from my experience).

Yes, all the roller coasters were open I believe (except for Scream! because of the construction and such going on there). The only water ride that was open was Jet Stream. is X2 really that popular? i always thought that the long lines were just because of it's slow loading dispatch. i haven't ridden it in a couple years. In my experience, it's both. I agree with this. It's both slow (usually) and quite popular.

The last several times I been to the mountain, dispatches have been pretty good. Nothing amazing, but nothing compared to Tatsu. Yolo, Tatsu, and X2 are still the leading contenders as far as lines. Goliath would probably be fourth. In the past I never considered Goliath to be that big of a deal, but the massive lines I noticed during Frightfest and Holiday in the Park proved otherwise. ioio
is X2 really that popular? i always thought that the long lines were just because of it's slow loading dispatch. i haven't ridden it in a couple years. Personally, it's my favorite ride still (drop + inside raven turn FTW). Lately (as in the last 3 times I've been there in 2 months), they've been dispatching quickly (as the other train comes back to the station). Apparently you can't ask for more than that by SFMM standards, so I'll take it. Prior to that (late summer/Fright Fest), they were running one train, or very sloppy two trains. X2, Tatsu, and soon to be Twisted Colossus (I hope) will be the top 3 rides for many. Tatsu always has atrocious operations. I don't think I've ever seen them hit their 120 second times. And hypothetically, they sometimes use both stations, but I've never witnessed that before.

singemfrc
Does anyone else think it's a little weird that Apocalypse is now almost sun-bleached white? I mean, I know I've seen sun fade wood coasters before, but I don't think I've seen a woodie go from being natural wood color to almost WHITE! This just seems to strange to me. Before/After --Robb ps. Please stop calling this ride "I'm too stupid to spell the word Apocalypse" - Just learn how to spell Apocalypse. Or use your spell checker to correct it. That is crazy..makes me think it's something other than just the sun..something to do with the treatment that was used or something? Just spitballing, but yeah agree I've never seen something like that especially that fast. I find it almost as bad as Roar @ SGDK. Actually, they did some strategic retracking lately that really made a huge difference. Since the retrack its a completely different experience. We're not talking Gold Striker nice, but it's been improved to the point where it's no longer painful, they got rid of that nasty "pothole" at the bottom of that first drop. is X2 really that popular? i always thought that the long lines were just because of it's slow loading dispatch. i haven't ridden it in a couple years. In my experience, it's both. Yeah it really is. It gets long waits on almost all days in the first half of the day, but with most people wanting to do it first (and not do it again because of the pain) coupled with typically above average operations, the line usually dies at ~4PM or so. Pssst... ....gimmie yer fluids. please excuse my fuming and ranting, but I cant take this abuse anymore! what is with u people? I guess u guys didn't see my last post. I FEEL UNWANTED HERE! but....for some reason....I stay! because I love keeping up with the latest sfmm hype u people post here, as well as sharing my OWN PHOTOS once in a while which, by the way, never receive any recognition! I only try to fit in the best way I can and sometimes I go with some of the jokes and get in on the complaints and even the good stuff, but now I feel I am not wanted here. I WAS going to upgrade to a paid tpr membership this year, but I am having second thoughts. so what I am not a hard core enthusiast! I am just as passionate about roller coasters as any of you! im sorry the nickname is offensive to some of you! I DIDNT KNOW, OK?? IM SORRY! it just clicks right to me! I don't want to leave here, but I now feel as if im being chased away. ok, end rant. Edited January 7, 2015 by colossus_queen

Gnome
^ i am so confused by this outburst. I just spent the last 10 minutes re-reading through the thread and Im still confused as to where this is coming from. Getting back on topic, my theory is the constant mispelling of apocalypse's name is what's contributing to the bleaching of the ride. Every time it's mispelled, it will slowly fade white, and then eventually, it will just disappear.
