mightypotato
That video doesn't scream "floorless conversion" to me. Looks like another standup bites the dust. But...what replaces it? Let the speculation begin!

CPSFMMCW
Ok so this begs the question, whats gonng in its place? It better be a bug new ride cuz I don't want to go to the park only to miss out on a credit! Whats gonna replace it!
gecomet92
Nothing. Mantis is too big of a coaster to be relocated for no reason. It's getting a different type of trains possibly a new name and color scheme.
KilroyMcSpunk
What's new for Cedar Point 2016? Who knows? We have free space now!
gecomet92
Do people really think mantis is getting removed? They wouldn't have been testing paint if that was the case
RyanTPM
I guess this means that Mantis is going to be removed? Or at least the floorless conversion.

Sharman19
The pieces of the puzzle are coming together, boy this fooled a lot of people in my opinion! Ohio's 2nd and only floorless coaster has to be coming up in a few minutes!
RideofSteel
Really well done video! On October 19th they are going to announce Mantis has been sold to Darien Lake, calling it.
The Geek Mojo
Good Riddance to Mantis. But please don't make us wait until October 19th to find out the rest of the story.

loop-de-loop
I guess this means floorless conversion with a new theme...Rougaroo or whatever... That name is terrible, please no.
coasterbill
Like I said earlier regarding Mantis... we were there for 3 days this weekend, we rode every other adult coaster in the park multiple times including Corkscrew which we don't even like. Even though we knew Mantis might not be operating in it's current state after this year we still didn't ride it. It was horrible and I couldn't be happier to see it gone (well... as a stand up coaster).
hey...hey
I guess this means floorless conversion with a new theme...Rougaroo or whatever... That name is terrible, please no. I agree. BTW, press release says they will let us know at a later date what is happening.
KilroyMcSpunk
Just for speculation, what would be placed in the Mantis location? Also, why would Mantis have "test paint"? There's too many questions and too little answers.
gecomet92
I'm still confident that mantis isn't going anywhere.
coasterbill
Just for speculation, what would be placed in the Mantis location? Probably Mantis with new paint, a new name and new trains.
DirkFunk
I always thought the barrier to floorless trains on Mantis was that it was money being spent on a ride that couldn't be marketed as new. This actually makes me really happy - creates another high capacity, fun ride in the park where there was a slow loading rough one before. Also allows them the chance to have a "new" sit down looping coaster. This is good, even if it won't help my "coaster count".
PCW_Nut
I guess this means floorless conversion with a new theme...Rougaroo or whatever... That name is terrible, please no. It translates to a werewolf like creature. Could it be that the Mantis gets squashed by this creature? I don't mind the name too much as it's not part of the cookie cutter names like SF does. At the end of the day though the name does not make the ride.
Geauga Dog
Very good video. A great way to tie it into the upcoming Halloweekends but that's all there is? Not a good year for stand-ups with Skyrider and now Mantis, even though it was rumored a change was coming to the latter well in advance.
