"The new pirate movie, Pirates 4-D, features a script written by Eric Idle, who wrote the hit Broadway musical Monty Python's Spamalot. Idle has a starring role in the movie as Pierre, loyal first mate of Captain Lucky, played by Leslie Nielsen.
The 15-minute comedy adventure will open Feb. 18 in Busch Gardens' surround-sound Timbuktu Theater, which seats 750. Viewers will wear 3-D glasses and will experience sprays of water and other special effects.
Busch Gardens' Pirates 4-D is part of a plan to build a library of films for the theater."
At least something FINALLY replaces Lame Lighthouse... Also, Adventure Island finally gets a new slide as well, happy day for BGT fanboys!
Although I will miss Tampa Typhoon alot...
-My butt has touched 112 roller coasters, how unfortunate.
Well, I guess it is a new movie for BGT, but the film itself is at least 8 or 9 years old. But ANYTHING is better than that Lighthouse movie! You would think they could at least hire better actors! Geez!
I am thinking of this; * Pirates would show at so-and-so time and Lame Lighthouse would show at so-and-so time. But... Lame Lighthouse is being removed! Thank god...
(Hell, my 2004 season pass was the "Special Edition Haunted Lighthouse" design... it was either that or Dale Erndhardt Jr. on my season pass.
Yeah, I had the HL pass too. Better than the normal ticket passes the give you these days.
Glad to see Pirates replacing Not-so-Haunted Lighthouse. HL was weak. I saw Pirates once, and enjoyed but don't remember too much of it since i was in an incredibly bad mood that day, but Leslie Nielsen is the man.
