^According to Andy, one of the Imagineers heavily involved in the project, it will officially open in May.

This website has posted another picture of the manor.

There's also a very detailed (however unofficial) run down of some of the features of the ride here.

If any of that is true, it all sounds very exciting. 13 scenes and 4 different routes through the attraction? Might be a lot of rubbish.

^I don't think it's rubbish. Winnie the Pooh's honey hunt has been operating at TDL for nearly a decade with variable ride paths for it's trackless vehicles. It wouldn't surprise me at all to find Mystic Manor having multiple ride experiences.

^I know it uses trackless vehicles. I was commenting on the fact that it's very easy for the ride to have multiple ride paths because of the trackless nature.

This is one attraction I'd love to check out--sounds like a great variation on the "Haunted Mansion."

Based on what I figured out about Pooh's Hunny Hunt at TDL, that attraction had three

trackless ride paths for the three 'hunny pots' that left the load station each time.

And Aquatopia (the original Disney trackless) at TDS had two paths, for each side of the

loading station.

Mystic Manor is (so far) alluding to having two ride vehicles leaving at once, with

two separate ride paths. And this "dance" that the cars do at one point near the end of the

ride, they do it with the two cars ahead of them. Or behind them., depending.

What I know, and have read...

EDIT after reading link - okay, so it's four routes, LOL! Sounds like the first two vehicles

to leave have their two routes and the two following them have the other two routes.

He looks more "1950s Disney," too. Well, they are both collectors of strange artifacts, so there might be a connection.

It does indeed look like Harrison Hightower. Which means, could there be an appearance by Shiriki?!? Likely not, but it would be awesome if he randomly showed up in the attraction, even in the background. Because Shiriki rules.

I think Chris might be right. His backstory ties into the larger "Society of Explorers and Adventurers" story that WDI created for TDS.

Disneyland will increase its ticket prices across the board from tomorrow, the resort said.

 

The increase will be deferred three months for Hong Kong residents and tourists who book through travel agencies.

 

The cost of visiting the theme park with an adult one-day ticket will rise HK$51, or 12.8 per cent, from HK$399 to HK$450. A child one-day ticket will also go up 12.3 per cent, from HK$285 to HK$320.

 

The greatest percentage increase is 17.2 per cent, from HK$499 to HK$585 for an adult's two-day general admission ticket.

 

"Like any business, we evaluate and adjust our pricing based on a variety of factors," the theme park said.

 

Vice-president for public affairs Lo Bing-chung said the rise was a result of the park's expansion projects and rising operating costs, such as salaries and food prices.

 

The tourism trade said they did not welcome the increases but did not think it would have much impact on business.

 

Different types of one-year passes will rise by varying amounts.

 

Silver Magic Access will remain unchanged, while the price of the two more expensive ones will go up by 14.5 per cent and 5 per cent for adults, and 14.4 per cent and 5.2 per cent for students and children.

 

The park will stop selling the lowest-priced pass - Red Magic Access - but holders can use it until its expiry date.

 

The park would not comment on whether any further increases were likely.

 

Disney also declined to guarantee that the park would not need an injection of government capital for its expansion.

 

In the government's annual 2013-14 budget, it says: "In the coming few years, Hong Kong Disneyland will launch a new nighttime parade and put in place a themed area …

 

"These will be funded by the Disneyland's operating surplus."

 

Seven years after opening, the theme park earned revenue of HK$4.3 billion, up 18 per cent from a year ago, and made a profit of HK$109 million for the fiscal year ending September 2012.

 

Lo said tourists constituted 70 per cent of the park's visitors, and 80 per cent of its revenues were from them.

 

He did not expect the price rises to have a significant impact on visitor numbers.

 

Travel Industry Council executive director Joseph Tung Yao-chung said tourists would not turn away from Hong Kong because of the increases.

 

"I hope they can improve their programmes to make the tickets more value-for-money," he said.

 

The park will open a new attraction, Mystic Point, in May.

Back then, it worked out to roughly $33 per day's visit! But at this increased price,

it's still a pretty good deal.*

Has anyone heard if Mystic Manor is opening before May? I'm going to be passing through Hong Kong next weekend on a business trip and am debating whether it's worth visiting HKDL and trying to catch it...

^ Everything i have read lately, just says "in May."

There could be soft openings of the attraction, but I have no idea

how much ahead of the Opening Day they would plan that.

Too bad you're not visiting in June.

If you've never been to HKDL, it's still worth visiting for the new coaster alone.

Cast Member previews of Mystic Manor started this weekend (the weekend of the 6th & 7th)

If you're in the area the weekend of the 13th & 14th - it might be worth the trip.

But - don't worry - even if Mystic Manor doesn't soft open to guests next week - you'll still get the chance to ride Big Grizzly Mountain !!! As Chuck said, Grizzly is worth the trip alone!
