dj snow
Hollywood Drive-In Golf's Facebook page says that they'll be open by this Wednesday, possibly sooner. Are there mini golf enthusiasts camped out to be first yet?
coasterfreak101
They are also going to implode this tent. By implode, do you mean fold up and move across the park? No, I mean like dynamite, explosions, and bunny rabbits! It will be a spectacle of insane proportions! Tickets go on sale Tuesday. Will you guys provide the B-roll for the Tent Implosion media day? Well in that case, maybe it will be replaced with fluffy fluffy bunnies filled with medicine and goo. ...and they will also be dynamited in a fluffy gooey explosion of awesomeness! Sad to see Jaws like that, but the mini golf looks great.
RoCo
Yeah, I'm not much for mini-golf these days, but this one looks like a lot of fun. Ah, Jaws... Jaws is gone, but not Hulk freaking Hogan? EPIC SWEATY FAIL.
guifol
The mini-golf looks amazing. And why did they need to do that with Jaws? It was such a nice area... But Harry Potter expansion will be just as good, if not better!
knobby49
It would be nice to get another coaster where Jaws was, even though it's highly unlikely.
coasterfreak101
^It's not highly unlikely - there's a great deal of talk about a Gringott's coaster/dark ride combination in that spot.
BBparks57
I was fortunate enough to check out the updated BMG show (thanks to the awesome Student Discount, $35 tickets) and it was fantastic. I had seen the old show several times...and I loved all the updates. I was just not as overwhelmed with the show in its entirety. I feel they pushed the inside jokes and didn't really explain...although I could be a little biased for the fully covered TP ending and the original animation section were super impressive and way deeper. I was fortunate to see the original show around 5 or 6 times, and I have seen a few of the touring shows. The updates were absolutely necessary and the ending was very impressive...I just am partial to the original...but again it's because of first time experiences. I still love the show...I just wish they had kept more of the old aspects in more then just a reference. Just one mans opinion Don't worry, I don't think I'm right and I know everybody enjoys different. things.

cfc
^Yeah, why would you want your minj-golf course open during the time at which people are unlikely to play? Maybe it's some kind of "soft opening"? EDIT: So, it's actually 2:00 am. Edited February 29, 2012 by cfc

Rastuso
The pics on Screamscape make this mini golf an absolute after dark only affair. The pictures are absolutely amazing. Looks like they truly have made a next gen golf course. Especially if there are a lot of sensors triggering effects like they hint. -RO
Intimidator305
The prices are much more reasonable than I thought. I'm glad to see fair prices and I hope this is a hit for Universal. It looks great!
SharkTums
Thanks for the info, those hours seem a bit more realistic! I've dared the Disney 24 hour group to head from MK at 6am out to Universal Golf at 8am...we'll see if they go for it, or if they die instead! Skycoastin Steve
I'll be checking out the mini-golf course on Sunday. Until then, just gotta wait and see if anyone else plays it and offers a report.
SoCalCoasters
I was questioning how these enhancements would look in the long run...but after seeing this video..I'm very happy with what they've done! Can't wait to get back out to Orlando and ride it in it's new form this summer!
pianojohn
Got a chance to check out Hollywood Drive in Golf today at USF. I only did the Haunting of Ghostly Greens course and took lots of pictures. Enjoy! It's open! Prices Rules and some of the Sci Fi side And if you decided to play another round at the end, you can add it here. It is the same price as pre-paying for 36 holes. My score card front Score card back Inside the card (I stopped taking score but got all holes in one!)

Rastuso
Are there triggered sounds or effects at all? They should really charge more for night, since it looks 1000 times better then. -RO

In the pet cemetery scene, each tombstone has a different pet noise (dog, cat). And the BGM (background music) is an awesome loop of fun songs such as "Thriller," "Little Shop of Horrors," "Werewolves of London" etc.
