Tokyo Disney Resort Discussion Thread

I don't mean to alarm anyone, but I don't see a buss bar in that concept art...

^ Neither does the promo pic for the US ones.

Even if it was trackless, if it has the same design concept as the US ones the ride system would be wasted on this ride.

Yeah, I'm actually hoping it has a track. Cause if they made it trackless just to pretty much spite us I'd be even more sad that I don't live there!

Anyone know for sure where this is going in the Park?

And I read somewhere it will probably use the FastPass system, too.

Hmmm. That will be quite a "Dash & Split" to the FastPasses machines

for it and ToT, when Mania opens, lol.

The front entry area is to be a "Toy Story-themed city park," themed in that area's era.

Theater is on the left side of the picture. You can see the entrance to bathrooms next to Tower of Terror on the right.

This further solidifies TDS as my favorite park, and I'm no Disney fanboy.

This addition is only going to make the best theme park in the world even better. I remember being a bit underwhelmed when the first Midway Manias were announced and built, but ended up liking them a lot.

I really cant wait to see what all the extra cost of this attraction actually went to! There are so many area for improvement in that ride.

I have to wonder if they've done anything to improve the ride's capacity. Even with Japan's super awesome operations, the ride's throughput is crap! And Disneysea has higher attendance than Studios or DCA. Should be interesting to see this progress

^ Well, they might be putting a lot of $ into the queue itself, too.

Add to that, the entryway "atmosphere" they're going to create

before you even enter the show building. From what I have seen

in art concepts, etc. And it's supposed to be a railway 'park'

(at the end of the elevated railway's route, it makes sense to me),

so I'm hoping there's maybe a small fountain as well as trees

and benches, etc.

So cool. So anxious. So want to go!

While everyone runs to get a fastpass for this andToT you should be able to get a couple of rides on Journey!

They even have better commercials than we have!?!? Seriously though... I hope that kind of commercial comes to the US... it probably won't because that animation style is not as prevalent here, but that was a great commercial and one I feel a lot of people can connect with.

It's amazing what Imagineering and , hell, even marketing can do when they're given the funds. That was a neat commercial.

I also wonder if they are doing any capacity upgrades to the ride system?

I like how the commercial is in classic "anime" style, rather than CGI or Disney-style animation.

^That Disney knows its audience and caters to them. Seeing the little anime girl with her popcorn bucket, or the anime school girls in their uniforms instantly transported me there. It was really well done.

That is a great commercial. Just seeing the popcorn bucket made me want to buy a plane ticket to go over there now. I miss that place.

(EDIT to add: And if TDS did make Mania a

trackless ride - I can easily imagine how Imagineering

would up the ante and make it a true crazy carnival of

shooting booths with these cars going absotutely NUTS inside

there, LOL. Pooh's Party Dream Room... PLUSSED!)
